I am astonished by Ted Thompsons response to Tom Pipines Question.

You can see in his eyes that Ted is heartfelt about the whole situation.  The word "frank" has been heard several times in the last few days.  Let's face it, Brett Favre said, "I am ready to retire."  Put yourself in managements shoes.  I think they have handled this situation with true professionalism and honor. 

  We are all a little lost in the confusion of fingers being pointed between parties. What we have to understand, is that Brett said hes not coming back.  Packer fans across the country have been under the assumption that Aaron Rodgers will be our starting quarterback up until several weeks ago, but the train left the station a couple weeks after a loss against the New York Giants and Brett didn't purchase a ticket.

  Personally I think Mike McCarthy diplomatically stated the truth and had every right to his opinions.  Do we expect Brett to get back on the tracks and lead the team directly to a super bowl?  I can't say that it won't happen, but my heart feels grim about the Packers having a phenomenal season, with or without the leadership of an NFL legend.  Let's take this with a grain of salt and swallow our pride as we move forward. 

  I'm starting to hear names revolve in my head like Namath, and Montana.  I would be more devastated to see Farve get hurt than to not see him play at all.  Put him into the record books and close the cover.  We all know he's bound to the records he's created for the next few years.  But records were meant to be broken and I know we will all see names like Brady and Peyton smash those records in the years to come.
