Seriously what's up with the TV commercials playing in movie theaters? I see those commercials at home before I come to the movie.
I'm just wondering if I'm the only person annoyed by TV ads making their way onto the big screen.

Kenosha is considering a smoking ban, and the town is divided over the issue. What's really special about this is the size of Kenosha. Kenosha isn't the size of Milwaukee, so the bars are mostly mom and pop bars.
A common anti-smoking argument presented is "This ban will hurt business, and we'll be forced to close!"
I don't really know if this claim is that far off, in regards to Kenosha. I'm just wondering if you guys believe a smoking ban will force the bars of Kenosha to close.

Okay we all know that Brett is gone. As soon as I heard the news I started calling sportswear stores to see if they have any Favre jerseys left. I don't know, if I should rush and buy the jersey. The really good jersey costs around $110 and the cheaper printed ones cost $75 or $80. I don't have a packers jersey and don't own any other jerseys. Should I go out and make the impulse buy before it's too late?

I'm an avid gamer. I've been hooked ever since Mike Tyson's Punch-out at the tender age of 5 years old. In the 90's video game violence started to become an issue with some politicians. For those of you who don't know because of this the video game industry was forced to begin regulating itself with the
ESRB. They give video games age appropriate ratings.
Over the past couple of years, people have made careers attacking violent video games. I've been playing violent video games since they existed. I had a copy of Mortal Kombat when I was in the 5th grade. But recently the focus has been on the
Grand Theft Auto Series. There's a new story out of Chicago that talks about how worried people are about this game series. All except one of the Grand Theft Auto games are rated Mature. That's the exact same as a movie being rated R. There are a lot of uninformed and just plain lazy parents who get upset when they figure out what their child has been playing for months.
With video games being regulated in the same fashion that movies are, why are video games constantly get singled out?
Click here to read the Grand Theft Auto Story posted on our website.
Do you think these types of games should be barred from being released? Is it really fair to blame Grand Theft Auto, and shooters like Halo for the violent mass murders that happen at high schools and Universities?

I've followed this topic from the NBA point of view. The NBA no longer allows players straight from high school to enter the NBA draft. So, NBA hopefuls have to wait atleast one year at college X. After one year of college these talented players can enter the NBA Draft and make the big bucks. Now the NBA wants to make players wait 2 years instead of 1 year.
One argument I've heard for letting the kids play straight out of high school is, if these kids have the talent to play in the NBA they should be allowed. Just like if a kid were an expert plumber, carpenter, or artist. Pretty much most other occupations there are no age restrictions. Sorry to bring it up, but kids can join the army right out of high school.
Now the other side of this is, it takes time to become a responsible adult and college can help that. I remember reading Michael Jordan's take on this debate. From what I remember he said during college he honed his skills as a basketball player. Had he went straight to the NBA he wouldn't have had the same success he accomplished after 4 years of college.
I will have to say I side with the NBA and Jordan. I would even go the extreme to say that these NBA hopefuls have to complete 4 years of school and/or require them all to have bachelors degrees. I believe there'd be a lot less mistakes off the court by NBA players. Forcing these players to stay in college or even complete it, would give the NBA the kind of role models children deserve. That 4 years could be the difference between players taking a gun with them everywhere or thinking "hey I'm a rich professional player, maybe I should use my brain."
Now as for the rest of sports, I'm sure there's plenty of different examples of how age requirements could help or hurt a sport.
I really want to hear what you guys think, because I know people are all over the board on this one.
P.S. Sorry, we Web Producers normally don't take a stance. I couldn't resist guys.

Okay this situation just angered me. I was watching the news this afternoon, and I saw a story talking about the leadership in Milwaukee and Wisconsin. Now if you have the full gist on this by all means help me out here. But from what I can gather Milwaukee got a million dollars to fix up the transportation problem here. And the money has been collecting dust for years, because no one could agree on how to use the money. Now the federal government wants to take the money back, because our elected officials haven't done anything with it. What are we paying these people for? There can't be any real good reason, why they haven't come to a decision. When I say reason, I don't mean excuse. Bus routes get cut, and bus fare goes up to $2.00! So now our leaders have to fight to get the money back, but after that what are they going to do with it? Honestly a city wide vote would do what our elected officials can't. I'm just thinking outside the box here. I don't know, am I freaking out for no reason? Should I call my alderman and give him an earful? Obviously I watch a lot of news, and I just can't help but feel helpless.

Who are these guys, and what have they done with our slow, lazy, and complacent Milwaukee Police Department.
I'm usually not cheering for the police, or putting them on a pedestal. Seriously I have to commend the Milwaukee Police. They are really out to get these Milwaukee gangs.
I live on 19th and Brown. Not the best neighborhood in the city of Milwaukee. I heard shots fired a couple of nights in one week. It took the police exactly 4 minutes to make it to my location and begin patrolling the area.
I like the rest of you had doubts about our new police chief. Seriously just looking t his record in other cities, didn't look like he cared. Man oh man, this guy is amazing. I'm sorry i'm just excited that the police have officially declared war on gangs and are fighting.
The only question left is how long can our failed system keep these gang members in jail? I don't want a bunch of arrests that make good news, but don't amount to much. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Seriously what do you guys think about this new war on gangs, and the progress the Milwaukee Police Department is making in this war.

With the recent beginning of the cigarette tax, and Illinois going smoke free. Some feel that Wisconsin's status as a smoke free state is inevitable. What do you think about Wisconsin becoming a smoke free state? Would you yourself want an absolute ban on smoking, or a smoking ban with provisions. For example I know there's a law that makes it illegal for people to smoke in a car with children in it. Eventually, there may be laws barring smoking from houses and apartments with children living in them. There are a lot of point of views and different ways this can be done.
