I went to the American Idol concert Saturday night in Rosemont, Illinois (just outside Chicago).
During the drive there, we got stuck in a traffic jam. Turns out, it wasn't an accident - it was a mother duck and her five ducklings crossing I-94. Cute!
The concert was pretty good. It started with #10 (Chikezie) and each person sang 3 songs... ending with the two Davids. Archie sang four and Cook finished things off with 5 songs. Then the finale group number (pictured below).
There were a few snafus... like Michael Johns forgetting the words in DREAM ON... he was laughing about it too. And, Syesha's mic wouldn't work on her first number. So, instead of hearing her version of Rihanna's UMBRELLA, all we heard were bits of "ella."

I know I am a huge dork... but...
I am seeing the American Idol Tour on Saturday in Rosemont!!!
More importantly, I get to see David Cook!
This season of American Idol had one of the best talent pools yet, and I can't wait to see what the top 10 do on tour!

iTunes Binge!

I have a problem. I don't regularly download new music from iTunes... but occasionally when I do, I binge.
Normally, I'll spend a buck or two to download a couple songs I'm interested in... but last night, I download a live EP, an entire album, a single and one of the American Idol performances from Tuesday night.
What the heck?
Luckily, this time I did a good job with my iTunes binging. Sometimes, the morning after I shake my head and wonder why the heck I would download such trash.

The Christmas music has been blasting through the airwaves for a few weeks now... and since it is AFTER Thanksgiving... I now will allow myself to partake in a few carols.
I always make myself wait until after turkey day because I think it makes the music a little more special. I can't imagine listening to Christmas music round the clock for two months before Christmas... but to each his own.
What are your favorite holiday tunes?

Back on July 7th, around 4 a.m. or so, I happened upon Chris Daughtry and his band at the airport! (they had just played at Summerfest the night before).
I was checking in with the rest of my group when we overheard one of the airline workers freak out because she was holding Chris Daughtry's ID. We immediately knew he was on our flight to Atlanta! I turned around and eyed my target.
I grabbed my friend, Heather, and walked over to Chris to introduce myself and get a photo.
Even at 4 a.m., he was willing to take a photo with a fan! :)

I'll get it started.
I love to listen to music when I'm cooking. I stick a CD in the CD player/radio in the kitchen (one of those under the cupboard things)...and then I rock out! Sometimes, I just listen to the radio...but I love rockin' out to music I can sing along with.
