Not as much as the executive order President Bush just announced 17-July-07 giving him supreme command should the alleged terror act transpire.

Yes I'm not kidding read it yourself HERE

By this decree, the President can supersede all other branches (Congress and Courts) as well as preside with complete control of the military within the US territory.

The order is framed under the pretense that he can suspend all rights and possess all assets of anyone (citizen or non-citizen) who he determines is a threat to the stabilization efforts in Iraq.... meaning that the 74% of Americans who object to the war.... are now suspect. All he needs is an event to trip off his power... gee what a coincidence... the threat level is elevated.

think twice before you fly.

WASHINGTON — Constituents called Rep. Peter DeFazio's office, worried there was a conspiracy buried in the classified portion of a White House plan for operating the government after a terrorist attack.

As a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, DeFazio, D-Ore., is permitted to enter a secure "bubbleroom'' in the Capitol and examine classified material. So he asked the White House to see the secret documents.

On Wednesday, DeFazio got his answer: DENIED.

"I just can't believe they're going to deny a member of Congress the right of reviewing how they plan to conduct the government of the United States after a significant terrorist attack,'' DeFazio said.

Homeland Security Committee staffers told his office that the White House initially approved his request, but it was later quashed. DeFazio doesn't know who did it or why.

"We're talking about the continuity of the government of the United States of America,'' DeFazio said. "I would think that would be relevant to any member of Congress, let alone a member of the Homeland Security Committee.''

Bush administration spokesman Trey Bohn declined to say why DeFazio was denied access: "We do not comment through the press on the process that this access entails. It is important to keep in mind that much of the information related to the continuity of government is highly sensitive.''

Norm Ornstein, a legal scholar who studies government continuity at the conservative American Enterprise Institute, said he ``cannot think of one good reason'' to deny access to a member of Congress who serves on th

I would NEVER own or have in my car a GPS unit.
Or any other tracking device.

Kat, you better not get a new cell phone then. They all have GPS in them now. It's there to find you in an emergency, but I'm sure it could be used for nefarious purposes.

Actually you can always be tracked if you have a cell-phone since most of the time you are getting a signal from at least two different cell towers. Recently, congress went ahead and gave Gonzo more power and wrapped the phone companies and service providers in a safety blanket: They can no longer be sued for giving away your information to the government.
