Ok. On more then one occasion I have closed a door on a bathroom stall to find the flier, postcard or brochure for Nik Kovac for, whatever he's running for. Not only is this advertising "tactict", if you can call it that, completely and utterly tacky, I felt it was very much a violation of my privacy. Advertising in a bathroom is bad enough, but in the stalls is just -repulsive. I sent him an email saying that I'd vote against him on those grounds alone.

Has anyone else come accross tacky political advertising?

I don't find it tacky, I see it as clever. He has your undivided attention and you have something to read. Violation of privacy ?? You have got to be kidding. If you want privacy, do your job at home. You need to grow a thicker layer of skin and stop sweating the small stuff. You are there to do a job, enjoy it and grab a quick read.

Who said it was at work.

I have quite a thick skin for matters that would likely render you and many others paralyzed and speachless.

You have a right to your opiniion, but you're judging me for mine. which is not appreciated. comment on what you know, not what you assume.

What I meant by "do your job at home" is your bathroom job. You sound on edge, relax and look for the humor in things. As far as your original question, if the canidates were equal, I would vote for Kovac. Need creative people in office.

I'm sure kovac had no personal input into advertising placement, they usualy have agencies that do that.

I think this is a funny little blog. I am pretty sure it is common now to advertise in bathroom stalls. There is a company that does just that. I don't know if it really matters to me if the ads are there or not, but I don't really see it as anything to get upset about, and like you said, he has probably hired an agency to take care of his advertising or campaign whatever you call it, so if it is not him doing it, why would you not vote for him based solely on that? I hope that the other person you would vote for then is better qualified because if not, and you choose to vote for some unqualified candidate because of where you saw literature, that would be IMHO the biggest waste of a vote if there ever is one.

i'm sure there are many people who would say a vote is a vote, and better then none.

yes, i have a little more sensativity to privacy and such, and for very good reason. it's one thing to have a space on a door, where there are ads placed by a company that dooes that,m it's another thing to have postcards and fliers wedged in behind the femine products trash bin.i'm sure there's sa more tasteful way of doing it.

Maybe whoever put that there, had it from her car windshield or something and rather than throwing it away stuck it where she did then. People are like that you know. Plus, where does privacy come into it? I am not a big politics person and don't even know who this person is, but it isn't about one vote being a vote, it is about your right to complain about the very person YOU voted in if that person wins. You don't get to do that.

Well, it still isn't an invasion of your privacy. Personally, if they weren't on that shiny paper and NOT in a dirty bathroom, I would have just used them as scrap paper. That is a waste.
