The Twilight series has got to be the best (and most addicting) romance/action books in history! You can't go anywhere with out seeng a girl wearing a Team Edward, Team Jacob, or any other Twilight paraphanalia. The books are a huge success not just because they're good, but because teens are reading!!!! Girls read them for the romance, and guys read them to pick up some serious dating skills. However few guys admit to it.
Now heres a downer. How old should you be to read these books? I say a Mature 6th grader is pushing it a little. These books contain teenage emotions and some mature situations (catch my drift?). So why are some parents letting their elementary child read them? My guess is that they have no idea whats inside. ok, ok, the first and second books (Twilight and New Moon) arn't that bad, but you can't really feel and know all the situations that happen if you haven't really gone through them.
Thanks,

Does anyone else feel intimidated by the fact of new technology appearing everywhere you look? Not to be arrogant or anything, but I'm normally very good with al this tec stuff. However while shopping for a new video camera I realized that there is still much to learn. Thats where you guys come in. I (and probably many others) need help deciphering between Mini DV, DVD, and Memory Stick. If you could please share your wizdom and stories of any of the memory systems above, it would be GREAT!
Thanks A Bunch,

Alright I admit it i'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan. I can relate to every character and the situations that they go through. However many people say that the books/movies are to violent for kids. Sure theres a "showdown" between Harry and Voldemort at the end of every book but many people don't see the message that's writin in it. If Voldemort never wronged anyone then there would be no reason for Harry, or anyone, to defete him.
Most people who have read the books know and understand the message. The books also teach honesty, loyalty, and perserverence. Is that really a bad thing? I mean, I could see not reading this book to a younger child, but if you can comprehend the messages and sicenarios of the books then why not read it?
Harry Potter series is on the ALA's (American Library Association) books most wanted off of shelves list. They are wanted off shelves because of questionable approprietness and "celebrate" Wiccan (pagan witchcraft).
Please share your opinions on this topic.
