We're looking for some fresh ideas for the web --  and we know you guys all surf the internet on a regular basis.

What we want to know is -- what do you visit the web for each day? What is the "must see" every day? What drives you to the web? Is it the weather? Entertainment gossip? Sports? What is it? What's that one thing you must check out when you visit the web? Tell us about the sites you visit -- the widgets you check out.

We're looking for new ways to enhance your experience on MyFoxMilwaukee.com -- and are looking to you for ideas.

If you have any ideas -- add a comment to this blog. We'll be checking it over the next few days -- in the hopes of acting on some of those.

If you didn't see it on FOX 6 News at 10 Wednesday, you missed something quite funny. And Jeremy Ross proved he's quite the sport while reporting down at Summerfest.

Take a moment to watch it. I promise, it'll be worth the few second it takes to watch it.

Here are the bloggers who had the most views in June...
  1. Bum76: 1022 views
  2. JGravelle: 777 views
  3. Katbird

And who elicited the most reaction from the blog readers in June?
  1. Basher 51: 162 comments
  2. adoseoftruth: 161 comments

If you haven't read the blogs these people have written, you might want to give them a look. We'll run through this again at the top of each month -- to see who's topping the charts.

Until next time...

I promised it was coming -- and here it is. It's a list of the top bloggers on MyFoxMilwaukee for the month of April (and that's no joke). FYI - this list will not include FOX 6 talent.

Before you read on, we wanted you to know we're not basing this on the number of blogs written. Instead, we're revealing the top blogs by number of views and comments. This gives you a better idea of who people are reading and reacting to. So, without further adieu...

Here are the bloggers who had the most views...
  1. steveincanton: 3,831 views
  2. FreedomFree: 1,281 views
  3. Antoine's Assessments: 710 views

And who elicited the most reaction from the blog readers in April?
  1. steveincanton: 1,251 comments
  2. Antoine's Assessments: 257 comments
  3. adoseoftruth: 238 comments

First of all, forgive my lack of blogging over the last few weeks. We've been slammed with projects and more.

Now -- we're going to start up something that we've been thinking about for a while -- and Snowhawk suggested again to me today.

Starting May 1st, I'll post a listing of the top ten bloggers of the previous month. It's a chance to see who's getting the attention of blog readers -- and who's doing most of the blogging. Now, the top bloggers might not be your faves -- but who knows, maybe they will be after you read them a bit more.

I won't start it until May 1st  just because that's a good day to get started (the first of each month). Who knows -- maybe we'll offer some prize each month for the top blogger. We'll have to kick that idea around a little bit more.

So I'm digging into my lunch today -- and suddenly get razzed by one of my colleagues here in the newsroom. My lunch of choice (most of the time) is peanut butter (the crunchy variety) and jelly. I work in some chips, cookies -- you know, the usual fare. I've enjoyed it since I was a kid -- and don't anticipate I'll tire of it anytime soon.

How many of you still crave the foods you enjoyed as a kid? Or am I the only one who can't wait to have a tall glass of chocolate milk when I can?

By the way, which do you prefer -- chunky or creamy peanut butter?

Yup, I'm dating myself here. If you understand the title of this blog, you're probably smiling. If you don't understand it -- well, here's the explanation.

Over the weekend, my kids were putting on their boots -- I was barking at my son about lacing up his boots properly -- instead of just sliding them on and ruining the top of the boot. He grumbled a bit. And that's when it happened...

I said, "Why, when I was a kid..." Here it comes... I told him how I had wear rubber boots to school -- and to make them "water or snowproof," my parents (and the parents of lots of kids back then) lined my boots with bread bags. Remember doing that? I do. Went through bread bags pretty fast. And it was a treat when your parents bought high-priced bread (because those bags were usually thicker).

Okay, done reminiscing here. Just had to share -- because my kids gave me a "my dad's an alien" look that day.

I admit it -- I haven't blogged in a very, very, very long time. Actually, I haven't blogged for a long time as myself. I'm on here quite often logging in for the MyFoxMilwaukee web team -- it's just part of the job.

Couple things I wanted to touch base on with all of you bloggers. First, I'd like to get some feedback on whether any of you think a blog-a-palooza would spark new interest in the blogs -- maybe bring some new people into the fold. It's been an interesting ride so far -- but it seems like we've hit another plateau. I'm extremely appreciative to the people who are on here every day sharing their thoughts. It makes our job entertaining and enjoyable. So what do you think? Think a new blog-a-palooza would kick this thing in the butt?

Second, we're gearing up for a rather hefty redesign of MyFoxMilwaukee.com. We have little in the way of details for you. But some time in the beginning of 2008, you'll notice the entire site take on a new look, new ease of use and hopefully some new features for all of you to play with. Get ready -- if what FOX is promising is true, we're all in for a treat.

Gotta fly now -- and no, I won't go another four or five months without blogging again.

I got the chance to see a good chunk of the Idol final three -- and now I'm scratching my head. I thought Jordin, Blake and Melinda were all rock stars. So who should get booted off?

I tend to think Blake will get his orders to leave Wednesday -- despite his great performances. But I think it's entirely possible the young girls in the audience will keep Blake alive. If that's the case, I think whoever advances -- between Jordin and Melinda -- one of them will win.
