I find that it is so ashamed that all people see when they read my blogs is the fact that I have five children. So what, should I crawl under a rock and die. Just taking a wild guess, a lot of the ignorant responses are from white males, typical!!!! Let me assure you white man you are not paying for me and my five black kids to live!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do. But you are paying for my father, and as a matter of fact you have been paying for him for about 25 years and there is nothing wrong with him! How do you like that!!! I don't, and the reason I started these blogs is to show the people of Milwaukee what they are really paying for. Do you know how many MEN are out here like my dad and it seems that the city of Milwaukee is only making it easier for them to become deadbeats!!!!!! Everyday you watch the news all you hear is about the state budget falling short for this reason and that reason. The solution is always take from the schools, and take from the children. Let me give you an example.

When a child is born in Milwaukee,and the mother applies for child support, she has to go to court about three times before the order is set for her to receive her payments. First, paternity is established. Second, I don't even know what the hell this date is for. Third, is the date that they finally set the order. Why can't this stuff be handled in one day. I don't have anything against the judges, but how much money could the state have saved if everything was just handled at once? Once the order is set, if the mom feels she needs more and wants to go back to court, she is adviced not to because the judge might decide that the order is already too high and lower what was already set. Why, because the state can't take a certain percent of their income.

When a man applies for food stamps, (which in the black community, this is quite common), they are approved the same day, with hardly any verification, and they get there benefits the same day. In return they are suppose to do a job search and participate in other activities. As I stated before, the majority of these men get that food stamp card and be out the door and are not seen again for three months. The other men just show up to get the free bus pass or the free bus tickets that are given out weekly. This is what my dad does, and he is one person that represents thousands and thousands of men in my community. How much is this costing you and I ? Not just today or yesterday , I am talking about for years past and years to come!!!!! Do you care, I do and that is why I start blogging. How much money could the state save if the activities that these men had to do was something like: Holding the traffic signs on the roadway, instead of someone that gets paid $23.00/ per hour to do the same job for the state. Why not make them clean up the side of the roads, alleys, and neighborhood streets, instead of the gas guzzling street sweepers. Again, I have nothing against the people who have those positions, all I am saying is if it is something that will allow the money to be available for my children to simply have books in school, then I am all for it. Sorry!

When I say, " Our Men Need To Learn To Sacrifice", I got a few very ignorant comments left on my page, let me respond.

If you read one of my blogs and all you take from it is WHY DID I USE ALL UPPER CASE LETTERS, THEN YOU NEED TO GET A LIFE!!!!!!! AND LEAVE ME AND MY OPINIONS ALONE!!!!!!

If all you think is that I am angry at my dad, then you are wrong. I am angry that it is becoming harder and harder to be a mother in the City of Milwaukee. Of course, sacrifices shouldn't have to be made.............In the land of LA-LA. Get real, this is 2008, the world is full of B.S.!!!!! I hope that if I am on the wrong track with my ideas, someone will let me know, in a mature way, of course!!!!!

As I said in a blog before, if you are supporting yourself and your kids then more power to you and I am very proud of you.
I just don't understand why , if you are so upset with the paternity system, you keep having babies. Are you married now? If so, I apologize for the assumption. It just seems to me that you are angry at a situation you helped cause.

Why did you not respond in the INJUSTICE IN MILWAUKEE blog?

And believe it or not, it is a real societal problem when you, and other women (race is inconsequential) engage in behavior that FORCES YOU to have to try to collect child support.

When you say "Our (I assume you mean black men) Men Need To Learn to Sacrifice". What a bunch of !@#$. No, they, and the women they hook up with need to act like adults.

Want to improve life in your community??? Start by inspiring hard work, the concept of personal responsiblity, love of learning (so they won't drop out, and will pursue College) in your children and go from there.

To say that a man of any race is the cause of your anger is preposterous. Only the people involved in the engaging in sexual activity without a regard for what the future may hold, (ie: relationship doesn't work out, she isn't the one for you, whatever) leaves one parent to raise the family. That is when help is sought to help finance their lives and take care of the children involved. Thus my tax dollars are diverted to cover that. As a white man, I am appalled when race is used to justify or explain anything. I don't do it, and I raised both of my sons on my own with no help from anyone except my wife, their mother. We knew BEFORE we had sex what the responsibilities were and we excepted them. To many people look to blame their problems on others. Our judicial system is full of examples of this. Race aside, it is about responsibility. Don't lay in the bed of enjoyment until you know for sure that anything that happens is YOUR responsibility.

I have a sister that has four children from four different fathers. Why? Because to her it was about her feelings of what she wanted. But she only thought for the moment and not for the long term. The instant gratification of companionship made her do things with people that she wouldn't have otherwise. She is not a slut, she was seeking attention. Unfortunately, the attention she got is exactly what she didn't need. She is now trying to raise them on her own without the help of the "absent" fathers who got exactly what they wanted, a good time, and now there are four lives that will never know what it is like to be responsible. I feel terrible for her, but she had a choice in the matter, and unfortunately, it wasn't the right choices that she made. And now it is her that must live with that. But don't lump all White men in the same category, for to do so, makes you look absolutely foolish.

Agree with alot of what you said Wolfman07, but, you have her wrong. She believes white men are being critical of her because white men are incapable of comprehending her situation, hence our "ignorant" responses.

As she says, it is getting harder and harder to be a mom in the city of Milwaukee............well at least a single mom with a bunch of kids with a bunch of different fathers that the kids will never now........evidently she thinks it our collective responsibility to somehow make thing right for her and her kids. Can you say "entitlement mentality"........???

I understand. I look at her as I would look at anyone with 5 kids, irregardless of how many fathers their are, it is irresponsible to keep having unprotected sex with anyone. It isn't my fault, or my responsibility to try and understand how this happened to her or how to try and get her out of it. It is a shame that anyone of any race has more children then their income can support. Blame anyone you want, but it her choices that got her here. Not mine. White male or not, how can she expect people to feel sorry for her and her plight when you continue to have children out of wedlock and without a plan for how they are going to be taken care of.

I understand where you are coming from sister. I am a black man.

If a man could bear children and have a baby he would comprehend. So, it is easy for the man to disappear!!!!

It is a shame black women are left with the burden. No matter if you had 10 kids, they all deserve the gift of life.

Unfortunately, we black men don't support our black queens and children like we should. This is the root core of the problem. Most of my brothers are out here too busy planting quick seeds and trying to be either pimps, players, rappers, or professional athletes.

I wish we could support each other like other races do.

wow way to stick up for guys on that one Fox6Fan.

I don't know any black men that just don't take care of their kids. I know there are some, but deadbeat dads come in all colors. ALL COLORS.

My entire extended family are college grads, even my grandmother. It's not %100 on my mom's side of the family. But still there are families out there that producer useful contributing members of our great American society.

Fathers can die as well. There's more than one way for a woman to end up with all the responsibility of taking care of her children. Truthfully even though more women have to do it, we all have the strength to take care of our young. It's human nature.

remimartin and all single mothers, take care of your kids and drop the grudge. make sure those boys you're raising don't turn into one of these deadbeat dad's or cheating husbands.

Ever hear of College??? And don't start that it is out of reach.......I worked for several years as an college Admissions Counselor. Americans bend over backwards to help people go to college.

Ahhh, now at least everything isnt UPPER CASE so its much easier to read. Many webmasters would remove such posts that are all in caps. And this time around, I think you made your point much better remimartini.

Still, I dont think 'sacrifice' is the word you are looking for. Perhaps 'responsibility' is it?

It is not a right to have children. It is not okay to procreate at will. That is one of the growing problems in our society. Sex has become a past time activity. One night stands, two week flings, friends with benefits, all can lead to parenthood. Teenagers are doing it more often then adults are, and in stranger places. Their is little to no respect for the institution of marriage anymore. There is little to no adhering to the laws of religion. It is the "I will do whatever I want" mentality that is causing this problem. If you don't have a job then don't have unprotected sex. No one cares about the plight they may face until it is too late to change it.

As far as for mothers or fathers who have to raise their kids alone due to a death of the other spouse, that is why we have programs in our government. I have no problem helping them raise their children with my tax dollars, none at all. It is these deadbeat parents that are pushing out multiple kids as a form of employment. These are many of the same kids that turn out to be the street runners and dope dealers, the thieves and gangbangers. When you see a girl that appears to be maybe only 18 or 19 with 4 kids running wild around the Mall, my point has been made.

I suggest letting these men starve. It is true that one man can impregnate many females, so why to we need all these lazy men? The women who choose not to use birth control and allow themselves to become pregnant can find all kinds of men who can perform this task. If not lettting these men starve, why do we not require that these men get themselves neutered before they collect their food cards and benefits?

These men are too lazy to be in the gene pool. And there seem to be quite a few women dumb enough to reproduce with these lazy men. Laziness is not a preferred quality. What are these women thinking? Why can't these women be more selective when they reproduce offspring?

If a man and woman have sex, both agree to the activity. If not then it is called rape.
A female who intentionally has a child outside of marriage is not a woman nor is she a "mom" she is a breeder. Two products of the "breeder" family are:
1. Males in agriculture which they mimic, these are called studs. They are not men, men provide for and protect their family. These males have absolutely no responsibility for their actions either in bed or out of bed they have no positive real traditional male role models in their immediate area.
2. 2. Females in agriculture which they mimic, these are called breeder cattle. They are not women or “moms” because the woman is the standard setter and core power in a family. These females have kids and take no responsibility for their children. Their offspring breed in the same manner as the female; which is demand public support and approval for a dysfunctional lifestyle. The cycle has been running rampant since the mid 60's and the results are horrendous 40-70% of children in some areas are born out of wedlock!
The result is no respect for life and family or the standards of a just society. This morning in my local paper there is a brief article out of Milwaukee about four party-goers shot and killed and two others wounded. I a willing to bet that the individuals target by this crime as well as the individuals committing this crime are from a “bread” family and not a traditional family.
For those who don’t understand traditional family it is a MARRIED male and female; a mom and dad who after marriage, or close to it

Excellent, dcook! I agree. And again, when there is overpopulation, both studs and breeders starve. Why should we help support the breeders? They are not producing anything of value that benefits society; they are parasites.

I am a single mother of five children ages 19-16-12-9-4. I was born and raised in Wisconsin. I am a vegetarian for life, but I don't know why, i was born that way. I am 32 years old and loving it!!!!!!
