Brett Favre Traded to NY Jets

It's official. The Green Bay Packers have traded Brett Favre to the New York Jets.
What do the teams have to say?
"Brett has had a long and storied career in Green Bay, and the Packers owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude for everything he accomplished on the field and for the impact he made in the state," Green Bay officials said in a statement.
Jets chairman and CEO Woody Johnson issued the following statement Thursday:
"I am looking forward to seeing Brett Favre in a New York Jets uniform," Johnson said. "He represents a significant addition to this franchise, and reflects our commitment to putting the best possible product on the field. Mike Tannenbaum and his football administration staff did a great job of navigating this complex process. I am excited about welcoming Brett, Deanna and their family to the Jets organization."

Huh?! Say what?!
You got it -- there's a report on ESPN that says Brett Favre has the "itch to play." What does this mean exactly? Who knows.
How would you feel if number 4 returned to the Pack? What do you think Aaron Rodgers would have to say about this?

The Brewers just ponied up and signed Ryan Braun to an eight-year, $45 million deal. Braun will not be eligible for free agency until 2015.
Do you think the team needs to show Prince Fielder the same kind of love? Can the team afford to do so?

It'll be a nice day on Friday for the Brewers home opener. But it'll be brisk -- temps in the upper 40s to low 50s. So our question to you -- roof open or roof closed!
Would you rather be comfortable and watch the game in a short-sleeved shirt and sweatshirt -- or say you braved some chilly temps under the bright blue sky?

The Packers Bears rivalry is the most storied in all of professional sports. Last year, da Bears ruled the North division -- but failed to seal the deal in the Super Bowl.

Okay, the Mitchell Report is naming names. Some of major league baseball's greatest stars are now being implicated in the steroids scandal -- some of them are headed to the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown (or are they?).
What's on your mind about this scandal? Should pro ballplayers be banned from the Hall of Fame? Should their records include an asterisk? Should they pay fines to the league?

The Pack Attack versus Tony Romo

The Packers - Cowboys showdown in Dallas is creating quite the stir. Both teams are 10-1. Green Bay has Brett, Dallas has Burlington's Tony Romo.
Can you find a way to support Tony and the Pack at the same time? BLOG IT!
The NFL's taking a closer look at the Green Bay Packers because of something its defensive backs and linemen were doing.
Here's the deal. The D-backs were apparently offering the defensive linemen $500 each if they were able to hold Minnesota's Adrian Peterson to under 100 yards rushing two weeks ago. And then, against Carolina, hold the team to under 60 yards rushing.
Do you think this is a bad thing? Or do you think it's one way the team's able to motivate itself to be up for a game -- and there's no harm in it? BLOG IT! We might feature your comments on FOX 6 News.
In recent years, when we got to the end of July, we were writing off the Milwaukee Brewers as being pretty much done for the season -- and we switched into Green Bay Packers mode.
Sportscasts would change their focus to the green and gold -- and the Brewers would get a quick mention.
