Travelers who fly out of General Mitchell International Airport will see new security procedures starting Friday.

According to the TSA, the program consists of a series of different lines designated by signs directing passengers based on their travel needs and knowledge:

  • Expert - for the business traveler who flies several times a month
  • Casual - for passengers who travel less frequently, but are familiar with the security process
  • Family/Special Assistance - for those traveling with small children or strollers, elderly passengers and anyone who may need special assistance.

What do you think about this program? BLOG IT and maybe we'll share your thoughts in a later newscast. Make sure to include your first name and where you are from.

Democratic Presidential candidate Senator Hillary Clinton is calling on the Bush Administration to boycott the Olympics opening ceremony -- not the entire thing, just the opening ceremony.

The reason? To press China for its crackdown on Tibet.

A Georgia college student is suing Valdosta State University over what he calls a violation of his free speech rights.

Hayden Barnes was protesting the creation of a $35 million parking garage. In flyers and letters he posted on his campus, he referred to the new structure as the President Zaccari "Memorial" Garage. The school took this as a threat -- and expelled Barnes.

Barnes has since been reinstated. Even so, do you think Barnes' free speech rights were violated? BLOG IT!

Here we go again. The comments are once again flowing freely -- and once again, we hope we'll be able to keep them that way.

That said, please understand this. The web team is committed to keeping a close eye on the blogs. While we can't be viewing them 24/7, we will be taking swift action when we deem it necessary. If we take action, you'll likely not know it unless you're the offending blogger. That's because we're only contacting or blocking the offending bloggers. And in a case where the offending blogger has not created an account with a valid e-mail address, that account will be immediately de-activated.

Please hold back on the personal attacks. If your blog post or comment isn't something you'd say to your mother, you probably shouldn't put it on this blogging web site. There are plenty of other options in the web world for you.

Thanks for your help.

You'll notice a big change in the blogs starting right now. For the next few days (and possibly longer), the MyFoxMilwaukee.com web team will be moderating comments before they can go to the blogs.

Why are we making this change? Quite honestly, some bloggers aren't being civil towards others. We can't be more blunt than that. The web team wants to keep the blogs and their comments free flowing. But at this point in time, it's just not happening.

The bottom line here -- your comments will need to be approved by the web team before any show up on the blogs. If you say something to another blogger that breaks any of the rules of discussion, nobody will ever see it. If your comment is pertinent and worth viewing, you'll have no problems -- and it will show up in the blogs in a timely manner.

Thanks for your help -- and thanks for blogging on MyFoxMilwaukee.com.
