Did anyone else that saw the Jets news conference last night get the feeling that Brett was not even comfortable in his own skin? He seemed sheepish and tentative to me...almost uneasy.

Tell me what you think. Do you think this was a bluff that back fired or at least took a wrong turn? I would love to read your thoughts.

We can all thank Brett for the memories. We all saw the crazy passes and footwork, unbelievable catches and who can forget the Monday night game after Erv passed away. There sure were a lot of great times and they happened with the Packers. The fans OWN this history and it can't be taken away. Too bad much of this is now overshadowed by all of the controversy. Oh well...this too will pass *no pun intended*.

I bid adieu to our record breaking quarterback and bid welcome to our new quarterback. I wait with baited beer breath for Arron Rodgers to complete impossible passes. I can't wait to see the Packer team pave the way for their new passer. Welcome to a new season...a season of change. The Packers are a history making team and they will continue to make history. Even this controversy is history.

So long, Brett. I hope you can find the same kind of magic you found in Green Bay. I hope the fans can appreciate you the way the Green Bay Packer fans have. I hope the stadium won't empty when you throw a 4th quarter interception. May they stay glued to their seats like the Packer fans have.

I plan to move on and I can't wait for the season to start. The drama is OVER!  Maybe I will go shopping today. I just HAVE to find a #12 jersey!

I feel like such a schmuck. I watched the news conference when Brett Favre retired and I got all misty. The quarterback that I defended in the early years and who moved on to three time MVP was retiring. What would Packer Sunday be like without him? How will I ever enjoy the game so much ever again? I was shattered. This time it is for real...Brett is retiring. But wait a month!...Hold on!...Is he coming back?...maybe, uh nope...uh yup?...Ok no. Bummer. What a tease.

Its July. Packer training camp time. I'm starting to look forward to the preseason. I'm all a'twitter to see what our new quarterback can do. Ohhhhhhhhh the excitement! This is agony! But wait! HOLD THE NACHOS AND BEER! Enter BRETT FAVRE AGAIN! Wow, look at all the he said she said stuff. Can Brett be serious? The Packers are supposed to drop everything and lick his toes again? Are you kidding me?

Enough already. It's time for the ol'boy to move on. It's time to stop the whinning (They don't really want me back wahhhhhhh boo hoo). Good grief. (I am making myself dizzy rolling my eyes right now).

The Packer organization has moved on but they entertained the idea of a Favre return. It can't be done. Who is to blame? Well in this girls opinion its Mr. Three Time MVP himself. When did the humble and sensitive Brett Favre turn into a spoiled celebrity? How could this happen to my hero? I feel like a child who is told there is no Santa Clause. What a let down. Now he wants to play for a rival team. I remember Brett saying he would only play in Green Bay and would end his career in Green Bay. RIGHT!

The biggest surprise to me is the way the fans are backing him. Well catch a clue. He does not care about his fans. If he did he would not want to rub your faces in it at least twice a year while playing for a division rival. There is talk that Brett retired in part because the Packers did not sign Randy Moss as a reciever. Well thats just too bad. Get over it. I was happy he wasn't signed. I lost total respect for him when he drove his car into a traffic cop. It seems some people are above the law.

Times are changing, folks. The Packers did the best they could. Aaron Rodgers waited in the wings and was a gentleman through this whole farce. The team as a whole seems spent with this whole issue. Brett didn't single handedly win games. He was not the WHOLE team. He's good but the team made him look better than good.

So long Brett. It was fun while it lasted. It's been a difficult break-up. The team is moving on and they have a new quarterback. Maybe you can "still be friends" though :)
