Being on vacation is both a blessing and what? I am grateful for so many things in my life right now (being in paradise does help). While I am enjoying the fact that I am actually able to completely relax and have only the responsibility of keeping my child safe, I can't decide IF I really like being "out of touch" with my real life.

I have more comforts here than at home (cable and internet), and I have my cell phone so it is not as if I am isolated in any way, but I miss the things I am use to touching. I miss MY stuff, MY familiar faces, MY familiar places. Then I feel selfish for missing things that I will have back next week, and know that next week I will miss Florida and the freedom I have here.

The only remedy I can think of...I am off to the beach.
Pictures will follow.

Hey! You're suppose to be decompressing, so quit analyzing the situation. MySpace Smilies

Have a fun and safe trip. Bring back lotsa pics (just as long as they don't resemble potato heads). And, when you get time, please explain to me what the heck ketones smell like. MySpace Smilies

Oh, I get that a lot on vacation! I want my room, a bathroom a billion other people haven't been in, I want to see my friends and go bike riding and watch Fox6 and everything!

But when you DO get back to that stuff, you find yourself happy for awhile, then to start saying, "I need a vacation!"

Enjoy it! The only vacations I've ever taken have been in the US (okay, so there was the ONE time we drove to Ontatrio to go to Niagara Falls) and the only "beach"-y place I've been is Florida, but we were at Disney World so there was a lot of people. Enjoy your son/daughter and the time you get to spend with them!

Since you're away from the stuff you normally have, you learn just how much you aprreciate it. And being appreciative is something we all could use.

So close your eyes, listen to the waves, and enjoy the fact that it's not on some trash-strewn dead fish- covered beach around here!

Sorry, that probably wrecked the image.

Ahh, I'm ranting.

Enjoy your paradise!!

There, I'm done. : )

Mother of 1. I like music and am learning to play guitar and enjoy playing American Idol Karaoke on my PS2.
