Well I, like 20mil other people watched American Idol last night.
If there is a God David Archuletta will take leave tonight. I don't care what the judges say this kid was HORRIBLE last night. It was uncomfortable watching him attempt to sing a Chris Brown song. When he did the Billy Joel song I cringed. His voice doesn't have any depth. Syesha and David Cook should be in the finals. They have shown versitality and terrific talent.
If I had any say (which of course I don't) Syesha would be headed to Broadway and David Cook would be headed to stardom.
Can't wait for tonight!
To be fair I didn't see Idol last night. I had the thrill of going to the Red Sox game.
When I got up this morning I watched the show on DVR and I must say that it is time for Brooke White to depart.
Lovely girl, lovely voice, unique talent but the pressure is WAY to much for her. She is not cut out for this type of life.
As for the rest, Carly was terrific, Syesha was also good. David Archuletta I personally cannot watch or listen to the little Muppet. Dreadlock Boy was equally bad and should by rights be with Brooke in the bottom 3.
David Cook, in my opinion is the star of this group. I think he takes it all. If by chance he doesn't win ( he will be better off if he doesn't) he will have a huge career if he wants one.

If you are on the North Shore with nothing to do Sunday November 18th at 4pm treat yourself and your family to Neverland Theatre's production of Seussical the Musical.
It is playing at the Memorial Building on RT 1A/Cabot street. I saw the show today and was blown away! The young woman cast as the Sour Kangaroo is Broadway calliber
Help support community theatre and give yourself a treat and SEE THIS SHOW! I can't recommend this more. Simply fabulous!
Trouble in radio land.

I enjoy listening to sports talk radio when I am not working and I was anticipating the return of Gerry Callahan to EEI's morning show. When I went on line this morning and saw the headline of the Herald I was very surprised to see that Callahan and his buddy John Dennis were locked out of their studio due to a contract dispute.
Now I understand that business is business. The parent company of the station that these two work for is already in a high profile contract dispute with their afternoon rush talker Howie Carr.
Why would you want to alienate your listenership even more?
It sounds like bad business to me.
Hi all! I was priveledged to attend a tribute to the late great Brad Delp last night in Danvers at the Yacht Club. What a gorgeous evening! The ballroom which holds 1000 people was packed! I have been going to functions there for my entire adult life and have never seen such a crowd. The entertainment was terrific, Beetlejuice performed as did Brad's high school band the Monks. Steve Sweeney showed up and did a little stand up which was HYSTERICAL!
Sib Hashian was the MC of the night and of course was terrific. Mike Hagan of the Danvers police force was the brains behind getting the event started. There was a silent as well as a live auction.
All the money is going to go to a music scholarship in Brad's name for a Danvers High School kid pursuing a dream in music!
I encourage everyone to buy tickets for the tribute to Brad being held on Aug. 19 at the Bank America Pavillion in Boston.

Idol should be very entertaining tonight. During the past few seasons Country night seemed to seperate the men from the boys if you will.
I will be waiting to see what La Kisha, Melinda and Jordin do with the choice of song. I think it is Phil's week to go regardless of how poorly anyone else does. He is horrible and brings NOTHING to the contest. He leaves this week... Chris is next week and then if there is a God Sanjaya.
Have fun watching!
Guggi out!
Thank you to all the geniuses who voted for the train wreck that is Sanjaya. Chris Sligh wasn't great this past week and probably would not have lasted much longer in the competition but Sanjaya not even making the bottom 3? Seriously?
I hope the producers will be able to set up some type of system to eradicate the mulitply felony voting.
