Has anyone driven on Hwy. 100 past the family planning clinic and noticed the men on the sidewalk in front of the clinic?  Their signs say something about planned murder.

As I have driven past these men, I wondered why they were there and what they wished to accomplish by being there.  What is on their agenda?  Anyone have any ideas?  I'm just trying to understand.

They are there because of Planned Parenthood. They are there because they are speaking on behalf of the unborn children that are being killed because of abortion. They are Pro-Lif protesters. Thank God for them!!!

Sigh. They are there to try and prevent women from getting a legal abortion. It is real easy to sit/stand there with a sign. Yet how many of these so-called "pro-life" protesters are doing anything for the children being abused right now? What are they doing for the poor neglected kids in foster care? For the children who are starving? Those being beaten and abused? Where are the protests for those kids?

Did not think so. It seems that as soon as the child is born they no longer care. They just want to stand outside with a sign and pretend they are doing something worthwhile.

How do you know these people aren't helping abused kids? They probably have other worth while causes too.

Just because something is legal doesn't make it right. Slavery was once legal too.

Only God has the right to take a human life.

Ever hear interviews with most of these people? Your question is then answered. In your case it seems to be different but a lot of pro life people are also for the death penalty. Figure that out.

I saw footage of these idiot protesters about a year ago. It was quite enlightening. A woman was running to block the door to prevent a woman from entering the clinic. The running woman was pushing a stroller with a baby inside. The stroller tipped and the baby inside hit the ground. How many smoke in the same car as their kids? You see them smoking while holding their signs. Like I said - once born they do not care.

You want to stop the need for abortion? Better education. Teach sex ed in schools starting in junior high. Teach the consequences of actions. Teach about unplanned pregancies and STDs. Work on programs to help children who are abused and neglected. Help find them loving homes. Find a better and faster way for loving parents to adopt these kids without all the hoops they have to jump through now.

No wait - that takes work. Nevermind. They will just stand outside with the signs and delude themselves they are making a difference.

Well said Centauri! The big problem I have with the pro life protesters, is that many of them often resort to violence. That makes no sense to me. They are out there protesting abortions and the right to life, yet have no problem resorting to violence and possibly causing harm or even death to another human (not to mention property damage). Doesn't that totally defeat the purpose of their protest.

I found this link, hope it works. If you click on a state it shows the acts of violence against clinics through out the U.S.

Lets say your right and Gods law is wrong Centauri. Everything you said makes perfect sense and it okays the act of abortion in ones mind and actually makes the woman feel good about her decision not to bring another life into this messed up world.

Now, lets say Gods law is right and you are wrong. On judgement day we all want to think we did everything we were supposed to to the best of our abilities according to our beliefs. Will God be happy with your beliefs on abortion or will he treat you just like an unwanted pregnacy?

There is the Gospel, and the Law. Like it or lump it, it is there for all of us. We have the free will to accept it or deny it. I am pro life, but not to the extent of what was previously mentioned. I know these children still live, right now in heaven. So, in the end it is all okay. The sadness comes in where the decision was made to play God for a day and chose to end this life. THAT is what will need to be accounted for. If I a wrong, no worries...if I am right...........

Just wanted to comment on the interviews with the prolifers. I am also prolife (I'm alive and it's better than the alternative). A few questions formed in my mind. So here goes.

All of the protesters are male. Where are the women? Working? Why do I only see men with cigarettes and signs? Did these guys get off work to picket in front of Planned Parenthood? I wonder how many kids these guys have. Who do these guys think they are to try to tell me what to do when I am faced with a very personal decision? Just wondering.

Actually, I have heard brief interviews with prolifers, but most of them have difficulty stringing enough words together to form a coherent sentence. And I have noticed that they are violent. Prolifers in general have not impressed me with their rhetoric or their behavior.

I would like to be able to say that I am a suburban dweller working 40 hours a week with an SUV and 2.2 children and I have spare time in which I golf. However, none of that is true. I would just LIKE to say that. So I did.
