A news reporter commented recently regarding Tiger Woods "......lynch him in the back alley....."

Are we as a society so stupid and clueless that these comments have to continue?

What is wrong with us?  Do we not have the ability to learn and to monitor our own tongue - especially when we are making public commentary?

Can anyone explain to me why this continues to happen on the news?

Just so happens the Tiger and her are friends and he thinks nothing of it. He said the media is making a big deal over nothing. If he has no problem with it, why should anyone else. Everyone needs to lighten up a bit.

This sounds like a case in which friends were just kidding around. If you heard the things my friends and I say back and forth you may think that we hate each other. Since Tiger does not have a problem with it then it should be a non-issue. I agree that people need to lighten up.

Well, you should hear some of the things my friend and I say to each other. But we don't broadcast ourselves on public airways.

Have we gotten to the point where people actually seek out situations to be offended at? Good heavens! Look at the context in which she made her remarks. It was light-hearted banner that had nothing to do with race.

I agree with Volkd. Everyone is way to anxious to point their finger and jump on people. It is getting to be like the witch hunts.

I would like to be able to say that I am a suburban dweller working 40 hours a week with an SUV and 2.2 children and I have spare time in which I golf. However, none of that is true. I would just LIKE to say that. So I did.
