how many of you bloggers watched the 3rd round of the PGA chanpionship earlier today? when i was watching on TNT(charter channel 37), they had very sunny conditions. then on CBS' coverage, a couple of minutes into their telecast, they had severe weather rolling through the area where the tournament was being held. they came back on and said that they would be back out shortly and the thrid round would continue. the first delay was about a 1/2 hour. then they had a live look and the skies were clearing up and the gallery got back to where they were and the driving range for the golfers were open. there must have been a second cell that must have started rolling through and the 3rd round never got finnished. this delay lasted close to 4 hours. they were only going to have temps near 80 with a low dew point. it kind of reminds of january a couple of years ago when the tournaments in florida were suspended or cancelled due to weather issues there.
oh great! flash flood watch

oh great! just what we need! a flash flood watch through saturday night. we certainly do not need torrential rainfall that leads to flooding. i absolutetly do not want to have my dad bailing out his basement again. hey vince, even though the storms are not all day rains, how much rainfall can we expect through saturday night? yesterday on the way home from work, it wsa pouring like a son of a gun. i got a feeling that the underpasses of military and hickory streets were flodded. we were on the highway 151 bypass, and i saw a vehicle kicking up a ton of water. we sure do not need more rain. our garden is so sad that nothing is coming up. our cucumber seeds are not germinating-execpt we have one plant and that is it for that. our watermelons are ok for now along with our musk melon. some of our plants in our garden are not doing well at all. we need our gardens to totally dry out and give our plants time to soak in the water from all the rainfall that we had.

here is another good blog for you bloggers to enjoy tonight or sometime to read and comment on. vince condella is a very excellent chief meteorologist in milwaukee tv. his forecasts are straight to the point and with the facts that matter to all of us. when he has new inforamtion that he talks about on the news, he lets us know that we can read more on his blogs. vince condella is like a teacher to us viewers and bloggers. vince always posts very educational, interesting, and informative blogs for us bloggers to read and comment on. when it comes to severe weather, he always tells us what part of the viewing area is getting hit and at what time. when he is on tv, especially when he is in the studio, he is the nicest dressed meteorologist. i say that he looks GREAT in a suit and tie. when he is on the weather deck, he does wear some comfortable clothing. he looks great on the weather deck. he must be very popular for all the backyard weather venues that he goes to during the 5 & 6pm newscasts. when he is at a backyard weather, he explains why he is there. he seems to bring the people who host backyeard weather with a pitcher and cups(hopefully they're dishwasher safe). he has lots of knowledge and posts them in his blogs and in his weather segments as well. i would love to see vince here at the eden firemens picnic the first weekend in august. GREAT JOB VINCE AND KEEP EDUCATING US VIEWERS AND BLOGGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KEEP THEM EDUCATIONAL BLOGS COMING OUR WAY FOR US TO READ AND COMMENT ON.

i heard bart talking about severe weather ticketed for friday. let's hope that we do not get any flooding rain that we had not too long ago. BUT if that does happen when we do get severe weather, stay tuned to fox6 on tv. you can always check out the radar on the weather section of this site. now, if you live in the fond du lac area and surrounding areas, you can listen to SUNNY 97-7 WFDL-FOND DU LAC. if you have the tv on and you live in the fond du lac service area, the west bend service area, and the juneau service area for charter communications, you can listen to WFDL on the moraine park technical college information channel-that is channel 23. if you have the radio on-WFDL has good severe weather coverage on when fond du lac county is getting hit with bad weather.

i was doing some fishing on the pontoon boat at a camp i go to in rosholt. let me tell ya bloggers, it was cold. it did not feel like warm weather therer at all. that wind up there was so darn cold. the sun was not even out at all that entire day. i believe it was wednesday. not sure what direction the wind was coming from. despite it being cold wednesday, i caught 2 fish off lions lake and too bad they were not keepers. the rock bass was only 8" and the large mouth bass was 12"(must be 14" or larger). it was even cold off the lake as well. temps were only in the upper 60s but with the wind it made it feel like the lower 50s! that would have been a good day to stay inside and stay warm.

i got home from work today, turned on the tv and noticed that southeastern wisconsin was under a tornado watch until 6 this evening. there were strong storms way to the south of fond du lac county. fox6 had wall-2-wall coverage of those storms going through the southern part of southeastern wisconsin. the anchors in the studio did a great job keeping us informed with reports from reporters from those areas that were getting hit with the bad weather. vince condella did a great job with the explanation of where the storms were and where they are going to hit next. he even did a great job on the esplanation while using the 3D radar map showing us how tall those storms can get. he and bart work great as a team when it comes to severe weather. vince is a good meteorologist we can rely on when the weather gets bad. vince does a great job pointing out the hail indicators on radar along with showing us where the rotation is as far as tornados are concerned. bart adrain does a great job working alongside vince condella when severe weather hits southeastern wisconsin. bart adds some information that we all could use in these kinds of conditions. when the weather gets bad, he will tell us where and when the storms will arrive. thanks to fox6 for a job well done.
fox6-the most powerful name in severe weather coverage in southeastern wisconsin. great job fox6 news for a job well done!!!!!!!!!!

thank god that it is going to be warmer starting thursday and going into monday of next week. i am looking forward to the humid weather on thursday with temps in the low 80s and the dew points in the 60s. YES! FINALLY! MY KIND OF WEATHER IS COMING! along with this warm weather, we will be seeing some thunderstorms, according to the 6 day outlook. friday is the day to keep an eye on. like vince condella said, some of the storms friday could be on the strong side. any of you bloggers a big fan of the heat and humidity? all i need to say is this, we need the rain. monday is also supposed to be in the low 80s and sunny. feel free to post a comment on this blog posting. i think that vince would love this blog that i posted in the weather section of the blogs. are there any days besides friday that we may need to keep an eye on radar?
boy it sure did not feel like 63 degrees today. the wind was chilly and it was so dreary outside. the temperature sure felt like it was in the lower 50s. we are away from lake michigan, and it was so cold here in fond du lac county. hopefully we get some warmer weather coming our way. just took a peak at the 6 day outlook on the 1 click weather link, and to morrow it is going to be only 65 and sunny. we should be at for normal i believe 73 or 74 for the daytime highs. any of you bloggers think it was cold out today? i want to know what you think. i got a feeling that this cooldown would not last long though. even though the wind may be cold but we will take the sunshine any day or time of the week. thanks for checking out this blog.
i just got done looking at the 6 day on the weather link. for the memorial day weekend, starting saturday, we are having temps in the 70s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you are a golfer, time to breatk out the sticks and hit the links.

monday though i believe we are supposed to have some thunderstorms in the forecast. if you are a golfer, get out there and enjoy the warm weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ATTENTION WEB TEAM: GET THIS BLOG FEATURED. INFO ON WEATHER ALERTS OUT OF GREEN BAY.
ever since i signed up with a tv station out of green bay, i have been getting severe weather alerts every single day via e-mail. the station i'm talking about is WFRV. they have been sending me weather alerts via e-mail for flood statements for certain counties. i must get at least 5 of them from there daily. i checked my e-mail when i got home, and noticed that i had at least 9 of them in my inbox. i tried to unsubscribe to get my e-maiil address off the list, but i could not.
QUESTION FOR YOU BLOGGERS: SHOULD I JUST DELETE THEM OR TRY TO UNSUSCRIBE TO THEIR WEATHER E-MAIL ALERTS? all i got to say is that i am tired of having my inbox filled with that stuff from them on a daily basis. if you have weather alerts outside of milwaukee, do not go with WFRV out of green bay. they will bombard you with those alerts. not sure if WLUK does weather alerts via e-mail or not. may go with them instead.
i checked my e-mail today, and sure BLEEP!!!! i had at least 9 more from them. when i saw all of them again in my inbox, i was getting pretty pissed. i got a feeling that they are computer generated. FOR GOD SAKES, WFRV, SEND ONLY 1 E-MAIL FOR SEVERE WEATHER!!!!!!!!!!!

i am so sick of snow. i just got done hearing bart_adrian mention the S word for thursday night into friday. we do not need anymore of that BLEEP. bring on the warmer weather. any of you bloggers agree with me on this subject? i want to hear from you bloggers. are ya sick of snow? seeing more of that on the way makes me want to cuddle up and stay in a nice warm bed.

ok...............i am confused. i just got done watching wtmj4 not too long ago. they said for the whole viewing area 1-3 inches of snowfall for the entire viewing area. i heard that same thing from wgba out of green bay for fond du lac and sheboygan counties. earlier i watched the webcast of your weather segment, and you said 2-4 inches of snow for the whole viewing area. vince_condella, please post a comment on this blog posting before you go on the air at nine tonight. is fond du lac county supposed to get 1-3 or 2-4 inches of snow? thanks.
i was watching the news earlier this morning. dodge, fond du lac, and sheboygan counties have a winter storm warning until mightnight. fox 6 said 5-10" of snowfall for us in the northern counties, but, then i watched CBS58 (charter channel 9), and they had us under the gun for 10-15" of snowfall. just a freindly reminder, please be carefull if you have to do some traveling today or tonight. the roads here are getting very icy. my advice: please stay home and stay safe. our driveway is really getting slick. what are the conditions where all of you bloggers are right now? feel free to post a comment on this blog.
roads and snow

today i was on my way home early from work because of campbellsport closing schools early again. the last time this happened was 3 weeks ago. now, getting to the roads. the roads in the fond du lac area were horrid. we got onto highway 41 heading south to the new highway 151 bypass, and you could not even see the road. on 41, it was even bad. then we got onto the bypass, and you could not even see the road. you couldn't see what lane you were in at all. when we turned onto county trunk v going toward eden, you could not see the road at all. none of the plows were out at that time. we were even sliding a little bit on the bypass while turning. on the way home, we even saw cars in the ditch on highway 41. now, this morning, on my way to an eye appointment at shopko, i even saw a couple of cars in the ditch on highway 41. when we got onto 23 in fond du lac, it started snowing heavily.

i was watching the news tonight. during the weather segment, vince_condella had half of fond du lac county for 2"3" of snow and the other half of the county for 3-5" of snow.
vince_condella, i was confused when you divided fond du lac county for snowfall. you had half for 2"3" of snow. then you had the other half of fond du lac county for 3"-5" of snowfall. so my question to you is this:
is the eden and campbellsport areas under the 2-3" of snowfall or the 3"-5" of snowfall? can you please clarify with a comment of this blog before you go on the air @ 9 tonight? thanks
