Dear Time Warner Cable subscriber,
Time Warner’s contract to carry WLUK-TV on its cable system has expired, and Time Warner no longer has the right to carry our programming.

Please know that we have tried for several months to reach an agreement, so that our viewers would not have to miss any of our around-the-clock reporting of news, politics, traffic, weather emergencies, and public service announcements.

We are disappointed in the outcome of our negotiations with Time Warner, especially since we have successfully reached deals with every major cable, satellite and telecommunications company who recognize our fair market value. Without fair and equitable treatment, local TV stations will not be able to continue to provide top quality news, sports, entertainment, and other local programming that is most important to you.

We will continue to negotiate with Time Warner. Unfortunately, we do not know if, or when, we will reach an agreement.

We thank you for your tremendous support throughout this dispute. We have received thousands of emails and phone calls from viewers who understand our position and are willing to stand by our side.

We hope you will continue supporting local television and watch WLUK-TV through alternative means. Below are your options:

i just got done hearing about 2 babies who died on the news not too long ago.  one of them involved a 39yr old mother of that child who also had 4 other kids.  they said in both cases that both of the babies had extensive injuries.  the other case involved a 17yr old father of a baby.  i just cannot understand why parents do such cruel things to their children.  in another case, i was shocked and appalled to hear that a 2yr old toddler dies in his home. .  the neighbor called social services and they did nothing.  i hope to god that those parents who killed their kids go to prison for a long time and stay there without the possiblility of parole or probation.  thanks for letting me vent.  that pisses me off royally.

  Mercury Marine, hit with a decline in retail boat sales, is reducing engine production and is cutting its workforce.  Mercury Marine says it plans to reduce its hourly work force in Fond du Lac by 160 positions during the next two weeks. Mercury employs about 2,500 salaried and hourly individuals in Fond du Lac.  With escalating living expenses, consumers don't have as much money to spend on discretionary items. The boating industry is faltering as a result.
 Mercury's parent company, Brunswick Corporation, announced in June that it planned to trim $300 million in fixed costs from its operations. The cuts included the layoff of as many as 2,700
employees.

i have just heard yesterday on the news about the milwaukee public schools being dissolved.  i understand that it is the money situation, but if that does happen, then the parents of those children who attend mps may have to pay out of pocket for their child's education.  let's face it, that school district should try to find a way around this issue.  they are the largest district in the state.  maybe they need to cut out programs and certain sports including cheerleading, dance team and others.  i was in a state of shock.  dissolving a school district is not the answer.  children's education comes first, not the money situation.  that is how i see it.   another thing is cut back on teachers' salaries to find more money.

HOW MANY OF YOU BLOGGERS WATCHED THE OPRAH SHOW TODAY?  THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT OFFENDERS VIDEOTAPE, TRADE, AND SOW WHAT IS BEING DONE TO CHILDREN BY ONLINE PREDATORS.  THERE ARE 15,000 CASES OF CHILDREN WHO ARE RAPED GOING INTO THE MISSING AND EXPLOITED CHILDREN AGENCY VIA VIDEOTAPE.  LAW ENFORCEMENT IS SO UNDERFUNDED TO THE POINT WHERE THEY CANNOT EVEN HAVE SOME OF THE PROGRAMS TO CATCH AND VIEW THOSE VIDEOS.  THIS IS GOING TO SHOCK YOU-SOME OF THE VIDEOS FEATURE CHILDREN AS YOUNG AS AN INFANT BEING RAPED   ON THE PROGRAM, OPRAH HAD THE PHOTO OF THE CHILD WITH HER FACE HIDDEN TO CONCEAL HER IDENTITY AND A DIAPER WAS ON THE SIDE OF THE BABY.   THIS WILL MAKE YOU BLOGGERS SICK TO YOUR STOMACH WHAT THIS GUY DID AND WHAT I AM GOING TO TELL  YOU.  THIS GUY WOULD DRUG THE CHILDREN AND PLACE A DRUG IN THEIR DRING.  WHEN THEY WERE SLEEPING, HE WOULD GO INTO THEIR ROOMS AND RAPE  AND MOLEST THEM WHILE VIDEOCORDING THE WHOLE THING.  ONE OF THE STORIES THAT OPRAH HAD ON TODAY TALKED ABOUT THIS GUY IN OHIO WHO WAS CONVICTED ON MOLESTING 8 KIDS.  HE WAS SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF PRAOLE.  WHEN THE POLICE IN OHIO RAIDED HIS HOUSE, THEY FOUND A TON OF VIDEOS OF WHAT HE DID TO THOSE CHILDREN.  THREE OF THE KIDS WERE IN COURT AND TOLD THE JUDGE WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM.  THEY EVEN TOLD THE JUDGE THAT THIS GUY RUINED THEIR LIVES WITH WHAT HE DID TO THEM.  THE NEXT STORY THAT OPRAH TALKED ABOUT IS THAT THERE WAS A GUY WHO WAS CONVICTED FOR MOLESTING CHILDREN.  OPRAH WENT ON TO SAY THAT THERE WAS AN 8YR OLD CHILD THAT WAS RAPED, MOLESTED AND MURDERED IN HIS HOME.  I AM NOT SURE WHAT HE GOT SENTENCED TO FOR THOSE CRIMES.  AT THE END OF THE PRORGAM, OPRAH HAD ON A PERSON TALKING ABOUT THE BILL THAT WILL BE HITTING THE SENATE FLOOR CALLED PROTECT THE CHILDREN ACT #1738.  FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THAT BILL, VISIT WWW.OPRAH.COM.    WE NEED TO TELL OUR CONGRESSMEN AND WOMEN TO GET THIS BILL PASSED BEFORE THEY RECESS.  THE SHOW WAS SUCH AN EYE-OPENER AND A SHOCKER.  I WAS SHOCKED AND HORRIFIED TO HEAR AND SEE THE VIDEO AND PHOTO IMMAGES, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO INFANTS AND TEENS.  THIS GUY IN OHIO MUST HAVE HAD AT LEAST 800 VIDEOS WHEN HIS HOUSE WAS RAIDED AND WAS A HIGH PRIORITY TO GET HIM IN JAIL.  IF YOU SAW THE OPRAH SHOW TODAY, WHAT IS YOUR REACTION TO THE WHOLE THING SHE TALKED ABOUT TODAY?  I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

not too long ago tonight, i saw the investigative report that bryan_polcyn had on the news on 6.  talking about the milfred adams case.  that investigative report was very informative and straight to the point.  if he was fired the first time, why in the hell didn't they stop his pay?  what i find hard to believe is that he wsa charged the first time and he was fired-and the charges were dropped.  the second time, he was fired and the da of milwaukee county filed the new charges against adams.  i was shocked and appalled to hear that he kept on recieving his pay while he was not on the job for 4 years.  his pay should have been cut off immediately.  thanks again to bryan_polcyn for a very informative report.  once again thatnks again to fox6 for a job well done.  how many of you bloggers watched the investigative report tonight during the 9pm news on 6?

i am greatful that charter reached a deal with the big ten network!  finally i can watch the badger games from home!  for us cable subscribers to charter, the new channel is on channel 73, and on hd it is on 795. 

after this season of football and basketball, they are going to reevaluate and decide where to pace the channel.  why not leave it on the expanded basic cable package?  if they reevaluate, they may put the big ten network in the digital sports viewing tier.  if they do that, it will make me mad and so will you.

i want to hear from you bloggers who have charter communications in there area.  if they put it in the digital sports viewing tier, would you be mad if you do not have that package?

I FEEL BAD FOR THE 8-WK OLD BABY WHO IS IN THE HOSPITAL ON LIFE SUPPORT.  WHAT PISSES ME OFF IS THIS: WHY WOULD THE FATHER OF THE 8-WK OLD BABY DO SUCH HORRIBLE THINGS TO HIS OWN KID?  HE FRACTURED HIS OWN KID'S SKULL BY SLAMMING HER HEAD ON A CHANGING TABLE AND DANGLING HER AS WELL.  I AM THANKFUL THAT THE MOTHER OF THIS CHILD DID SOMETHING ABOUT IT BY CALLING AN AMBULANCE AND HAVING HER KID RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL.  ON THE NEWS THEY WERE SAYING THAT HER KID WAS NOT BREATHING NORMALLY AND FIDGETING.  THIS 30-YR OLD FATHER OF THE CHILD SHOULD GO TO JAIL FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE FOR ABUSING HIS KID.  TO ME IN MY MIND THAT IS FELONY CHILD ABUSE, ISN'T IT?   WHY FRACTURE A BABY'S SKULL BECAUSE THE KID WAS CRYING? 

WE THE JUSTICE SYSTEM NEED TO PROTECT OUR KIDS FROM PARENTS WHO ABUSE THEIR KIDS UNTIL THEY DIE.  IF THAT KID DIES IN THE HOSPITAL, THAT FATHER SHOULD HAVE TO RELINQUISH HIS PARENTAL RIGHTS AND SPEND THE RIST OF HIS LIFE IN PRISON WITH NO CHANCE OF PAROLE OR PROBATION.  THAT STORY JUST MAKES ME SICKER THAN HELL.  WHO WOULD EVER DO THAT TO THAT TO THEIR CHILD AT THAT AGE OF 8-EKD?

if all of you bloggers remember the blog that i posted about the gas prices here in the eden area, this is my second blog on the gas prices in my area.  according to the gas tracker on this site, the price of gas here in the eded area is now $3.76 a gallon at the gas station down the road from me.  any of you bloggers have gas prices in your area in the $3-$3.80 range?  how much is gas down in your neck of the woods?

once in a while i like to watch fox11 news @9 out of green bay.  what i like about that is because when it comes to a certain story, they would have both side of the story that is being featured.  i wish fox 6 would have something like what fox 11 has on their newscasts.  they even have that on their news @ 5 as well.  how many of you bloggers in the fond du lac service area for charter cable watch fox 11 for news once in a while and if you like it when they have both sides of a story they feature?  what is nice is that you get both sides from different points.

how many of you bloggers watched oprah today?  her show was about spousal rape.  let me tell all of you bloggers that this show is an eye-opener.  this is a very serious show that all of you female bloggers should have been watching. 

the first lady that oprah had on the show told her about her ordeal when she ws married.  she was raped and sodemized by her own husband.  he is up for parole as of 2019.  if you ever saw the show today, and saw the pictures of what happened to her.  you'ld be shocked and mortified.  thank god she did report her husband to the police.  while the husband was still sleeping, she escaped through a window.  her ex-husband was verbally abusive toward her as well.  she was explaining what happened was very shocking.  this guy would punch her, make her perform sexual acts that she did not want to do, and rape her.  he even said horrible things like how does it feel to be used and other things.  the lady in the first story said to oprah that she was laying on the bed and her ex would force himself on top of her.  he would put the sofa in front of the front door and the dryer at the back door, and he told her that no one is going to save her.  before that she was dragged outside and screaming for help.  he said to her that he would have the opportunity to kill her outside or in the house.

the second lady,who was a deuputy police officer, that oprah had on the show today, told her what happened to her.  she told oprah that she was raped by her ex-husband as well.  she was having arguments with him over a single subject-sex.  her husband was good at manipulating her.  he would ask her to have sex with him and she said no.  one night her ex tried to kill himself, by holding a knife to his neck crying and saying that he would kill himself because she would not have sex with him.  she got him to calm down and both of them went into the bedroom.  on the program, she told oprah that wa when he forced her to have sex with him.  he would tell her that she doesn't love him because she would not have the sexual contact with him.  one night she came home from work, her ex was hiding under the steps of her home.  down the road from her home, the ex forced her into his car and drove her to a small town in colorado and raped her.  this guy was even carring a gun.  she was even carring a restraining order paper in hand.  in court, one of her kids at the sentencing hearing said that what happened to her mom was horrible and if she would ever see him, she would fear for her own life.  this lady was doing the right thing by changing the locks on her house.  the ex husband was sentenced to prison for life.  she did not report it the first time because she was in denial.

the prosecutor that was on toward the end of the show told oprah that there are some tings that victims of spousal rape should do and they are the following:

(***)go to the hopsital and have a rape kit collect evidence

(***)go to the police

(***)get a restraining order

(***)tell someone

this has been going on for quite some time.................................talking about not recieving e-mails about blogs being added on my blog or on other blogger's blogs.  the last time i checked my e-mail is a couple of days ago.  only a couple of times i got e-mails about comments being made on blogs.  then here is the kicker, the blogs i comment on i never get e-mails for.  has any of you bloggers had this problem.  i got a feeling there is a bunch of comments that i never got e-mails about.  i want to hear from you bloggers on this.

i just noticed that just this week or so, that us customers of charter communications have fox on the hd channel lineup.  remember that this excludes the waupun area and southward.  the addition to the green bay channel lineup for hd is WLUK FOX 11.  WLUK is now on channel 781 for the hdtv viewing.  good thing that we have that now. we get no milwaukee channels for hd in the hd lineup for channels at all.

i watched the investigative report last night on 6 during the news @ 9.  i just could not believe this guy was so far behind on his property taxes on property he owns in the city of milwaukee.  come on, lets face it----------we are expected to pay rent and property taxes, and this guy gets away with not paying a single dime.  i believe those bankrupcy claims he files are bogus.  i was so appalled last night when a resident of one of his properties said that it was her fault that her house was condemmed.  bryan_polcyn brought us the investigative report straight to the point with all of the facts.  i believe that the city of milwaukee should have stopped him from filing so many bankrupcy complaints or claims.  what does that guy have to hide if he knows that he owes the city close to a $1000000 in back taxes?  why wouldn't he or his lawyer answer questions that bryan_polcyn had for them?  i think that the guy's lawyer has something to hide as well.  that investigative report was very informative last night.  what the city of milwaukee should do is put all of his properties on foreclosure if he can't pay his taxes on all of his properties.  one of the buildings he owns had several code violations.  people like him should go to prison for a long time if he would not pay their back property taxes on what that person owns in the city of milwaukee or anywhere else.  keep up the great work, bryan_polcyn.  once again thanks to fox6 news for a job well done.  i bet when the next investigative report comes out, i will definately post a blog on that.   the thing is, getting back to the investigative report last night on 6, is this:::::it pisses me off that you guys in the city of milwaukee have to pay for the back taxes that this guy owes.    then what i do not understand is this:::if he owns all those properties in the city of milwaukee, why can't he pay his taxes on time?  that is why your taxes are going up is because of him.  when i saw the dollar amounts he owes, i was so shocked to see that..  if he is that behind, he should not be owning any property at all, even his own home.  i hope all of you bloggers enjoy this long blog.  i want to know what all of you bloggers think about that investigative report we saw on the news last night.
