Not only is Thompson making a mess out of this whole mello-drama affair with Favre, but he is always blowing off our STARTING Running Back in Mr. Grant. A contract extension offer that was a complete joke for a back of Grants abilities. Come on Ted, who is going to be next?

Doesn't this remind you of the thinking of the early 90's? Sign your players at what YOU want and not what they are worth.

Why not cut Favre and his 12 million contract, pay Grant his money, get another Nose Tackle .  Then when Brett finally comes home to Green Bay to play for another team, the fans will show him what we all true think of him.

We all knew it was coming, so we must move on.  Remember, but move on.  We have a draft coming up very soon, and if you all loved our Mr. Farve, then we need to trade some picks in order to move up and sign (Mr. Farve Jr.) Hawaii's Quarterback, Colt Brennen.  Colt is a young gun slinger just like what Ron Wolf saw in Brett.  He has the same type of physical makeup with a young and very powerful arm.  He has a innate ability to read defenses and make necessary changes.

Brett, you will be missed by all a great deal.  But we also thank you for everything you gave us over the years.  You will always be Mr. Sports to me.

It isn't a hidden fact that 2007 was a very good year for Wisconsin Professional Sports.  From the Brewers above expectations season of last and a wonderful joy ride with the Homegrown and people owned, Green Bay Packers.

Well, until Today.  At the beginning of the Basketball season, many sports reporters on ESPN and FOX Sports, said that the Bucks looked like a formidable team.  With a team of 7 starters, 2 of which start the game on the bench, position for position, the Bucks match up with any other NBA team.  So then why are they having some many problems?  Excellent question.  Let's look at this team for a second.  Michael Redd, Desmond Mason, Mo Williams, Andrew Boget, Charlie V. and Charlie Bell, Danny G.  Come on.  All solid players with BIG contracts.  So then is it the coach?  Whether it's lack of motivation, conditioning, planning or the basic areas.  Rebounding, shooting, passing and most importantly............DEFENSE.

So what do we do?  Does it really matter?  I guess not because hhhhheeeerrrrrreeee comes the BREWERS!!!!!!

The Milwaukee Brewers announced today that they are raising prices across the board to help keep them in competitive in Major League Baseball.  Well lets take a closer look at this, granted the increases range from $.25 for a soda, up to $1.00 for parking.  They want you to believe that their fans wouldn't have a problem with this.  Well, the numbers speak for themselves.  Below is a breakdown of the revenue they make already.  I have used below average numbers is this breakdown so the actual amounts are higher.  Let me know if these changes will reduce the number of visits to the park or not effect them at all. This is using 81 home games per season:

 Capacity of Miller park- 43,000

Average attendance- 18,500- (1,498,500 per year)

Average cost per ticket- $20.00- ($29,970,000 per year)

Parking- (9,250 Vehicles per game)- $8.00- ($5,994,000 per year)

Beer- ($6.25)(20,000 16 ounce bottles sold per game)-($10,125,000)

Soda- ($3.50)(20,000 per game)- ($5,670,000)

Hot Dogs-($2.75)(10,000 per game)- ($2,227,500)

Peanuts-($3.50)(5,000 per game)-($1,417,500)

Popcorn-($3.75)(7000 per game)-($1,842,750)

(Using only the above numbers and not adding the sales of candy, nachos, bratwurst or bottled water which creates additional revenue. Also not including the $10,000,000 to $15,000,000 in money from Revenue sharing that the team gets from MLB)

We come to a total of $57,246,750 for one season.

So when they say the rich gets richer and poor gets poorer, simply logic can explain why.  I have been a loyal Milwaukee resident all my life and I remember those days of County Stadium and those teams of Robin Yount, Paul Molitor, Jim Gantner and Rollie Fingers. But I am also a father of two teenage boys that because of these rising costs, will be forced to watch our games on the television.  At least that way, I can see the game for nothing, have six beers for the price I would pay for one and eat 3 hot dogs for a dollar.

I understand how this needs to be done, but I am left wondering why. I might even bite the bullet and spend the $250.00 to take my family of four to a game if I had a team that spent some of those revenue dollars on a team that wins more then 1/2 its games in a good year.

What do you think?  Am I right or wrong or simply overreacting?

Well, we all must have already seen today that Amann Green is now a Texan.  At least we know of one team looking to improve itself, but were is Mccarthy and what is he doing for us?  I hope he is looking at giving Buffalo our 1st round pick and getting Willis Maghee into our fold.  Stop this chatter about Moss to, since he will be complaining and pouting on the sideline by game two because Driver caught 8 passes and he didn't.  Green Bay needs to act quickly to surround our hero for his last season, (or two) with us.  If I was Brett, I would have taken my ball and went home by now.  I have all the money I need and don't want a coach that blows smoke up my ...... and says "hay, look" as it streams out my ears.  This fan wants to simply see a competitive team take the field each week.  I guess I got spoiled with that winning feeling when Holmgren was our coach.  I just want to feel it one more time in my lifetime.
