The 15 and 16 year olds that are perpetrating these crimes of violence on our buses and in our schools, are the same thugs that will be escalating their behavior to new levels when they are 19 and 20.  They are the same group that likes to bully and steal lunch money from weaker kids from 3rd to 8th grades.  With absolutely no respect or morals, (thanks parents) or values that define one's character.  This was a problem school to begin with and allowing "Clicks" to form on and off school grounds was their downfall.

Our courts need to stop slapping the wrists of offenders that are underage and give them multiple upon multiple chances to change.  Jail gives them three meals a day, a roof over their head, and a place to sit around and talk to their friends.  What are their REAL consequences to their actions?  A spanking from a non-existent parent?  Handcuffed in the back of a squad car? No.  So what do we need?

We need immediate intervention from the school level up.  If a students behavior crosses the line of right and wrong, record it.  Allow law enforcement to review cases of violence or intimidation.  And jail any member of a group that decides it is okay, to intentionally overwhelm by numbers a single victim and do extreme harm to him or her.

No minimum sentences, 15 or 16 year olds that participate in this type of behavior should be tried as adults, and subsequently sentenced as one.

Wolfman - you best be careful (read PC) how you write your blog. There was a hard-hitting blog this morning that was getting a lot of response about this same issue. It was deleted by the authorities on this site because the issue was not portrayed the way FOX6 wanted.

hi wolfman07. thanks for the post. check out my blog called another bus beating caught on camera. i do agree that the juvinille judicial system needs to change. i believe the teens who beat up the other teen should lose their bus riding privilages for good. parents can only do so much as far as disciplinning their kids. when i saw the video last night on the news of those kids beating up the other kid, i was so shocked and horrified. you know that i agree with you that the courts have to stop giving slaps on the wrists of repeat offenders, meaning fines or some other punnishment. they need to get tougher on those teens in adult court. as always, great job on the posting of this blog. feel free to post a comment on my blog that i told you about in this comment.

DKdad, I have been blogging on here for a long time, and I have never had a posting pulled. FOX6 has created this outstanding form of media to let it's viewers speak out loud and have their voices be heard. If a blog is inappropriate, it should be pulled anyway. But thanks for the warning anyway.

As Far as Wolfman's blog goe's fox highlighted his blog.it is not so much as bus problem's,it's a area inclosed, combining trouble maker's,i do not at all blame the bus co,except that they need emmediate safety responses "panic button" and the police need to respond to that button emmediately, these kid's (punk's) if are in a school for law breaking kid's.they have the freedom to walk away unsupervised,is this a half way house? if so the punk's involved should be re-Judged and sent to detention...like someone in the house of correction/prison break prison rule and loose goodtime/and moved to a more supervised area or center.strike 1 not 2 or 3.most of our children are behaving like this (including my son)because they are aware of the don't touch law,i don't like child abuse but i get my point across to my kid loudly and seriously, when un ruley. but i love the death out of him when he is in the good and in the right.bus co. would have to raise prices to secure buses, although maybe like homeland security, give the bus driver's training and authority,to secure their bus'

Yes, it must change. I don't like to have to put up with this anymore. Right on!

I think it's about time that ALL juveniles were treated as adults when they commit a crime. At some point in history it was decided that 18 was the age when people became adults and were held responsible for their actions. I think thats a load of "you-know-what". Kids today know that they can get away with crimes and the punishment won't be too severe. Maybe if they knew that they would be sent to jail to live with hardened criminals for awhile they would think twice before commiting a crime. And forget about the "punishment fitting the crime". If the punishments were more severe alot of these thugs, including adults, might change their ways. Stop giving second chances. The victims of these crimes never got one. Why should the criminal? And stop blaming the parents and the schools, these kids know they are doing wrong and make the decision to do so. They need to be held accountable, no matter what their age.

Juvenile Justice should be for kids up to 13 years old. At the age of 14 the kid goes to adult court.

I am in total agreement with the Juvenile Court System Must Change. It is too lenient. Children know right from wrong. Hurting, killing, raping,is evil; even children know that doing any of these is wrong. There is no doubt that these young crimianls don't know that what they are doing is wrong. They just don't care. Don't do on to others what you don't want done to yourself. Commit a crime which causes menatal or bodily harm to someone or ends someones life..means that you have just decided to give up your life. That simple. No slaps on the wrist..It's straight to jail for you and when you come out you'll be able to fill out your AARP invitation. HAving my loved one kiled by a juvenile instead of an adult doesn't change that my loved one is dead or lessen all my grief or suffering. Knowing that that the killer will only get a short punishment because of his age. If a juvenile has no respect for human life do we think that when he becomes an adult her will?
