Could SKYFOX 6 be landing at an elementary school near you?? Maybe. SKYFOX will be visiting a few schools this spring to inform kids about what it takes to be a pilot and how we gather news while in the air. Plus, meet Pilot Todd and Jennifer Reyes.
Elementary teachers should go to the TRAFFIC page of myfoxmilwaukee.com and scroll down to the traffic news for all the details. (Look for the Skyfox 6 School Tour icon) Print out the request form.
FOX 6 is everywhere!

Ode to a Dirty Car
The salt, dirt and grime
it is a true crime.
My navy blue baby
is so dirty is it driving my crazy.
Can barely see out the windows
I am constantly reacting to shadows.
Oh when , oh when when the temperatures rise
so it can be washed and dried?

We need larger road signs!

OK, this is my "rant of the week". Why can't we have larger road signs??
Ever try to find a street when you are looking for a new address or location? I have to believe many accidents happen because people have to slow down to figure out what the next street is. Plus, many of us are getting older and need glasses.
I was on Hwy 100 and the car next to me is looking everywhere to find out what the cross street was. It was Bluemound, but believe it or not there is not one sign at that corner that says it is Bluemound. Hwy 18, but not Bluemound and most addresses say "Bluemound Road". So if you do not know the area....About 1/2 block in advance it tells you if you happen to see it, but not on the street itself. That makes no sense. It should be a very big sign on Bluemound and Greenfield etc...How are visitors finding the Zoo??
OK, I have gone on enough. Obviously I beleive we need more and larger street signs!!

I know we all ask this question every time, but really.... how can gas go up 20 cents in one day?? We had one week of gas below two dollars and then zoowie, back to $2.19. I really want someone to explain this to me in terms I can understand. What other business gets away with this??
Frustrated at the pump! Ugh
Try a new road!

How often do you get to travel a completly new road?? Be sure to check on the new Canal Street. I picked it up on 26th street and took it to Miller Park. Great street. Nice curves. And goes right past the new Palamerio's pizza- they even have a cafe inside, so stop for a slice from 8-5. It is a great option to get out of downtown quickly. Try a new path!
That's the Ticket! ouch

It is an early Friday morning. I pull in to Lake Geneva, not sure where to start my day. I see a coffee shop. So I park on the street in front of the shop, and go in and get a hot chocolate. There was no line, so I get my beverage quickly and return to my car. And what to my surpise do I see?? A PARKING TICKET.
I look down the street, I do not see anyone. Where is this stelth ticket giver? Do they just lay in wait for an unsuspecting tourist who forgets to plug the meter? Is there a sensor that goes off?
I have to believe Lake Geneva collects a lot of money by giving out parking tickets, seems to be an industry. They only accept quarters in the meters. The ticket is payable immediately, $10, or it goes up in five days. But they do make it easy to pay, they have collection boxes right on the street. The only good news, you can plug the meter for up to five hours at a time.
So welcome to Lake Geneva, be sure to bring a roll of quarters with you!!
P.S. I did finally see my ticket giver as I was leaving and she was ticketing someone else. She said they have no way of knowing how long someone has been parked. So she says.....
