How often does this happen to you. You shovel all the snow off your sidewalk and drive way. Then you go in the house, Take off all the layers of clothes and rest your sore back. And then it happens.....the big, ugly snow plow comes by and piles a ton of heavy snow blocking your walk and drive that you just cleared.  ugh.  I hate that!!!  And with this snow fall, it is so heavy it is taking twice as long to clear it.

I am happy they clear the streets, but I swear they time it just to drive me crazy.

So Mr. Or Ms. Snow Plow......give  a girl a break and push the snow on someone else's drive way. To some one with a snow blower or who has lots of kids to help them shovel. I am going back in the house to put the heating pad on my back. I'm watching you!!

This happens to me EVERY time, but it isn't just the snow. It is the layers of hard, packed slushy stuff that weighs 2 tons per shovel-full that they throw onto the drive way and sidewalk (and living on the corner makes it horrible).

Then they tell me that I can NOT throw this back towards the street, what am I supposed to do with it? It is already unsafe to try and leave my drive way.

I live on a cul de sac and all the roads in the sub division are plowed first an then our street is done. They clean the road with a frontend loader. They stack the snow slush and muck in my front yard. they do a good job ,but I hate the dirt sand and road trash that ends up in my yard is the spring.

I've watched the snow plowers and they do a nice job on our road (live on a cul de sac)... when they are passing someone's driveway entrance, they turn their plows straight, in an attempt to get less snow there. However, there's still a lot, and it's heavy as heck!

I was just going to comment on how WELL THEY DID!! We live on a cul-de-sac also and granted the driveway was plowed in but, what else can we complain about??

They did a GREAT JOB cleaning the streets!!

We have a Bobcat to clean all the excess but, the roads were great!! Just wet!!

Hats off to the snow plowers!!! We wouldn't have been able to go anywhere!

I have to say that I was quite suprised to see our steet cleaned when I got up a 6:00 am. We also live on a cul de sac and we are the last house. Our snow plowers here in Delavan really get a thumbs up from me! They have kept up on snow removal also, coming in and hauling out the plowed snow that piles up at the end of our circle. Although I think some cement lawn statues that I left out got broken from the front end loader scooping the snow up. Oh well, my mistake! I guess I get to go shopping in the spring!

We got spared today, but usually they come by when we are all done and I run out there as quickly as possible because the longer it sits the harder it is to get out.

We have a curve in our street, we always get dumped on by the plows. I don't get mad at the guys, but it is frustrating.

We had to call them one night because a tree branch cracked and they came within 1 hour and cut it down. Then by 7:00 a.m. they cleared away the tree branches as if nothing happened. Another time, we had a watermain break on the street and they came out at 11:00 a.m. and worked until 2:00 a.m. fixing it. I made them a bananna bread and coffee for a break.

Good for you wfb!! These guys/gals have a hard enough job....without having to deal with people yelling at them.....

Do you know where the center line is??? Would you know where the white line is...if there is one in your neck of the woods??

They are just trying to do their jobs...and like I said you guess where the lines are!! Without the plows we as regular drivers wouldn't know either!!

OMGosh, you wouldn't believe the yelling that our staff takes from the residents. They take a lot of abuse.

I'm always calling them up and cracking jokes. One time, I phoned up and said I wanted the trees trimmed from my parents house to the park, because we couldn't see all the fireworks. There was a long pause and then she said "Is this wfbdoglover", we both burst out laughing. But sadly, that was a good example of what these resident would complain about.

I live in a subdivision in Big Bend. The plows JUST drove through on our street. I have snow banks taller than I am now. And they plowed me in. My driveway was already cleared of all snow this morning when my husband left for work. Now he won't even be able to drive into either entrance of our driveway. This is rediculous!!!

I Live in Walworth County, And recently over the past two storms we have had our mailbox peeled off of it's stand. Very annoying since saturday I saw the mail go flying in the wind with the mailbox. I Hope there was nothing important in there. I know they have to do their jobs and I do respect that just leave my mailbox alone. If it were me tearing out one of their mailboxes you better bet I would be held responsible, as it should be, now they can replace mine I have done that once already this season I should not have to do it everytime it snows. This has only happened this year never before have we had a problem.

I think this is case of they are dammed if they do and dammed if they don't. No matter what kinda of job they do, someone out here will not not be happy.
