OK, this is my "rant of the week". Why can't we have larger road signs??

Ever try to find a street when you are looking for a new address or location? I have to believe many accidents happen because people have to slow down to figure out what the next street is. Plus, many of us are getting older and need glasses.

I was on Hwy 100 and the car next to me is looking everywhere to find out what the cross street was. It was Bluemound, but believe it or not there is not one sign at that corner that says it is Bluemound. Hwy 18, but not Bluemound and most addresses say "Bluemound Road". So if you do not know the area....About 1/2 block in advance it tells you if you happen to see it, but not on the street itself. That makes no sense. It should be a very big sign on Bluemound and Greenfield etc...How are visitors finding the Zoo??

OK, I have gone on enough. Obviously I beleive we need more and larger street signs!!

I agree with you 100%!! Wisconsin isn't the worst though. I've been in IL. and in some parts there are no signs. The sign is before the road on the side. I miss them everytime because I'm used to looking up.
I have always wondered why signs are not posted in plain view.

I am writing with the ideal why the cable barrier fail. When you have a problem there is an answer to every equation. The cable barrier post that holds the cable are to far a part. When you have speed with force and the angle of impact the distance that the cable barrier are now probably will allow any car to go through unless you are a truck, the answer if you reduce the distance to 4 feet intervals the cable barrier will act as a net not only will it stop the car it will keep the car from going through. That's my opinion if it was to be tested you will find out if works. A net is designed to catch what size the fishermen wants; a large net allows the small fish to exscape, so if the net becomes smaller then he able to catch everything, so if you reduce the distance that the post our you will solve the problem
