On Friday, we covered opening day of the Beer City Tattoo Convention. While there, we met many talented artists and people looking to get inked. We even found a 54-year old woman and her 80-year old mother who were looking to get their first tattoos. For quite some time though, there's been a sort of stigma attached to tattoos. No doubt about it, it's a unique form of self expression. The thing I find very fascinating is the story behind the design. What's your story?

My 2 niece's and myself decided we were going to get tattoo's before our cruise back in 2004. We are very close and decided that each of our tattoo's would have something in common and that was a drop of blood was to be incorporated into each design. One niece got dolphin's, the other got a butterfly she designed herself and I choose a sunburst that signifies happiness. Each one of our tattoo's sporting a drop of blood rendered differently by each tattoo artist. My first tattoo at age 49 was a exciting experience. I really would like to get another one but my husband says no way! They are addictive. My advice to anyone that is thinking of getting one, go to a reputable place. We went to the Black Dragon in Waukesha. Don't know what to get? There's plenty of flash on the wall's to choose from!

I have two, and each has a special meaning to me. One, on my left arm is a Christian fish symbol, with two red hearts and a black heart. The two red are for my financee and my daughter, the black one is for a baby that was miscarried. I also have a European gothic style cross on my right arm for my father who died in 1993. I also went to Black Dragon. Best around.

Hi! I'm Vivika Vergara and I'm a Reporter here at FOX6. I'm new to the area but not the Midwest. Born and raised in Chicago, I heard a lot about Milwaukee and its attractions but never had a chance to explore. I love the outdoors, trying new recipes and am always looking for new jokes! If you have a story idea or suggestion about a good place to eat, blog or e-mail me!
