I am a coffee drinker.  Coffee lover.  Coffee dreamer.  I must have it every morning as part of my daily routine and I'll take in just about any form, I really enjoy it.

Having said that, if I can choose any place to get my coffee, it's Starbucks-- here's why.   You may have noticed lately that Starbucks has been changing the way they do things a bit- a new roast of coffee, a promise to make it right every time, lots more advertising... Well, it's because their stock went down, and Howard Schultz ( the CEO)  is the kind of guy that knows how to treat his customers.  He just gets it.

Don't get me wrong, I'll go to Alterra, Stone Creek, or any place on the corner, too... But I've tried "mom and pop" chains at many cities I've lived in, and I'll get in my car, take a sip and think.... hmmmm... this tastes weird today.  Once, in Boise, I drove around for ten minutes to find a parking spot, only to go to a coffee shop that ended up being closed for an hour or two-- no idea why-- and I thought to myself, "This is why I love Starbucks.  I always know what I'm going to get, and it's always fantastic."

FYI-- Starbucks did not pay me to say this... I'm just enjoying a Cinnamon Dulce Latte and I just had to blog about it.

I enjoy Starbucks too. Lately if I am stopping it is usually Starbucks or Caribou coffee (there is a relatively new one on 124th and Capitol).

At Starbucks I usually get an iced mocha caramel cappucino with an additional shot of raspberry flavor. BIG nummies!

Tami, I assume you go to StarBucks every morning or every other morning before you go to work?

Ok, so I know that it is probably a little excessive when we hit the starbucks drive thru and my three year old asks for an iced chai. But I am there probably once a day and have a friend who will call me from work and make sure that I pick her something up when I go and drop it off to her at work. She is a good friend and works close by so I always do.

OH, and for those of you who think it is too expensive, but love it, you can do this. For Christmas last year, I asked for an espresso maker. What I got was a "coffee center" it has a coffee maker, espresso maker, and a frothing thing for milk. Then, I went to Starbucks and bought the sugar free gingerbread syrup for like only 6.00 and got this huge bottle, Pick N Save for the espresso, and the skim milk I keep anyway. Now I can make a latte anytime I want and have the starbcks flavors at home for way cheaper. AND we also found the most awesome chai at Tevana (sp) out in Mayfair, and we make our own chai lattes too. But I still do go to starbucks when I am out which is every morning. But it is great to be able to wake up on a Saturday morning and make a great drink in your pjs. And for my Sunday mornings, my church bought an old bar, renovated it, and now it is called Holy Grounds Cafe. On Green Bay Rd. I am not completely sure of their hours, but they do take credit and check cards.

It is right at Eastbrook. It used to be some bar but we bought it and turned it into a coffee house. If you go down Greenbay road to the curch and park in the front parkinglot, you will be right next to it. I think it also has its own parking lot.

This is the address to the church and I don't know if the coffee shop has its own address, but it is the next one over if it does.

Oh, Vanessa, the coffee shop is not in the church, that is just the only address I had. It used to be a bar and I can't remember the name, but I guess it was a popular bar and we bought it and turned it into a coffee shop.
