Did you see my story about the West Bend cook who put some of his hair in a customer's steak?  24-year-old Ryan Kropp worked at the Texas Roadhouse and admitted to police that he "removed at least two of his facial hairs and placed them on the steak."  But at the time, a witness in the kitchen says Kropp turned to him and said "These are my pubes."

Here's the irony in the whole thing... It was the second steak made for this customer.  He apparently ordered the first one medium-rare, but it was served medium.  He didn't say anything, in fact he ate most of it.  But when the manager came by and asked how his food was, he mentioned that it wasn't exactly the way he'd ordered.  It was the MANAGER, who was trying to provide exceptional customer service, that insisted they make the guy another steak to take home with him.  Well when the cook was asked to make another steak he allegedly became angry because he thought the customer was just trying to get "free stuff."

Isn't that crazy?  Does it really matter where the hair came from?  Not to police, Kropp is charged with a felony for "Placing Foreign Objects in Edibles".

There are a lot of morons in the West Bend area due to the propensity for inbreeding in the community. Taco Bell had an even worse incident a few years back involving feces in their food.

That's More Than Disgusting; That's Crossing The Line For Real. Who In Their Right Mind Does Something That Sick? There Are Just Some People In The Food Industry That Just Don't Know and Learn and Will Have To Answer To The Man Upstairs. If They Don't Know and Realize By Know, "What's Done In The Dark, Always Come Out In The Light". Other People May Not See What You're Doing, But There Is One Person Up Above With The Eye Vision and The Listening Above and Beyond Our Reach and That's GOD, and What You Say or Do On GODs Green Earth, You Going To Have To Pay For It Down The Line Somewhere and What That Dude Just Did Was Violated A Customers Eating Services. Now That Is Just Dirty and Now I Feel Queasy Just Talking About It.

There is a reason why I don't eat out anymore.

It makes me not want to eat out now unless my food is made were I can see it. This news makes me want to vomit. I have a week stomach for that kind of stuff. Just like the beef recall, I will not eat beef for a very long time and that hair in a steak just set it off even more.

What is sad is I enjoy the Texas Roadhouse food and atmosphere very much my wife and I dine there about once a month , but after that story I don't think I can go there for a while Because the first thing I think of now is "pubes" and I don't think I can even eat a steak I cook myself for a while...I am sure that cook will be sued by the loss of revenue the establishment has due to the incident..and I am sure he will never work in that line of work again.Thank you Ryan for ruining my appetite for my favorite food.

When I heard this on the radio,(Fox 6) I was like "Gross!" This is just as bad as human saliva in fast food. Sorry for me saying that, but that was a story. I don't know why some those behind the counter, sort of speak do that sometimes, but that is just worse. One time in Ponderosa, in 2000, my mother and I once saw an employee not properly cleaning her hands after handling food behind the buffet area. Gross but true!

I was reading this blog to a friend of mine while on the phone.
His comment, "Hey! If I can eat my wife's cooking I can handle anything!"
Glad I never went to his house to eat!

It's a shame that people are letting Texas Roadhouse take the blame for one demented person. My husband, his parents and I go there maybe 2 or 3 times a year and we have always loved the food and the dancing.
Remember, this is not the Texas Roadhouse's fault.
I love a good steak and won't let one idiot ruin that for me.
The best steak I have EVER had is at The Nightingale in Sturgeon Bay. THEE BEST.

Well, I believe you can blame Texas Roadhouse for hiring demented idiots.

How do you know when you hire someone that they are THAT demented?

I wrote a book with Brett just before the season started this year. The proceeds of the book is going to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. A great cause. Anyway--Brett and I went all the way back to the time that I recruited Brett out of high school. He talked about his college experiences and even talked about his viewpoints on retiring. The book will bless you when you read it as you get to learn about how Brett's beginning set the tone for his legendary status in the NFL. You can get more information on the book online at: www.markmchalefootball.com
