So first my family was in town, then we visited the in-laws, then had Christmas morning at our house-talk about a holiday hangover... I had to come back to work this morning, after a week of chocolates, cookies, candy canes, red wine and lots of leftovers.  But I look forward to it every year.

The best thing about Christmas now as an adult, is seeing my kids open gifts because they get so excited sometimes.  My son got the XBox game Rock Band (the controllers are instruments-it's like Karaoke kicked up a notch.)  And he wasn't expecting it, so when he opened it, he honestly shrieked... it will make a great video someday for a fiance or wife to see-hilarious!

And my daughter, who's just two, got a Dora the Explorer tricycle and every day she keeps waking up and the first thing she says is "Bike mom, my bike.  Bike."  It's like the first thing on her mind in the morning, and the last thing at night.

Good stuff, huh?  Let's hear your story!

Our kids got a toned down Christmas this year. We tried to focus more on the Birth of Christ. It went over much better than I expected. My three year old kept yelling "sweet" everytime she opened something. My son got the camera he wanted, and my other daughter got a few of the toys she wanted. They all got to pick out one gift to give to eachother, so it was fun to watch because the gifts were picked out by them for the others. My 6 year old daughter was thrilled with the "bigfoot" slippers she got my son. It was exciting for her to watch him open them.

I don't even have a holiday story to share, but I would just like to say that the title of your blog; I thought you were actually having a hangover for real during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I said to myself "UH-OH, This Might Be An Interesting Blog About Someone Getting Overdrunk On The Holidays". When I Started Reading It, I Was Salty. It Wasn't That Type of Story, But This Is Still A Nice Blog and Its Featured On The Front Cover of the Entertainment Section. That's What Makes This One of The Best, regardless if you were having or not having drunk after effects trying to write this blog out. LOL! :-)

(Don't Take That Drunk Joke Seriously. I'm Just Playing.)

Well, in the interest of full disclosure, I bought some Limoncello for the first time over the holiday, and it's almost empty! :)
