Yes, I know it's a little sad that it took me two full seasons to get down to Miller Park but I finally got out to a game last night with my son and we had a blast!

What a great time for kids.

The game wasn't exactly the kind kids like with lots of home runs and big hits - in fact there was only one run - but at least the Brew Crew won!

My son loved the new kids area with the racing sausages and he insisted on clocking his pitches with the radar gun twice!  He did pretty well for a 6 year old - 21mph fast ball!  Another 70 mph and he could be pitching in the bigs!  I'm not holding my breath.

Of course after the kids zone we had to have peanuts and Cracker Jack!

Side Note:  Is it me or are the Cracker Jack toys getting kinda lame!  I remember getting whistles or buttons or some other little toy.  Noah got a paper thing that you're supposed to stick on a pencil.  Huh?

Anyway...  We washed it all down with a WAY too big soda and spent some time going through his new Brewers baseball cards that the Police handed out as we walked in.

All in all, it was a great night and we'll be back soon!

What was your first Brewers game like?  Share your story here!

I am a huge baseball fan, in fact, my hubby and I were engaged on Doubleday Field in Cooperstown. While living in Texas I was watching a show on the Food Network that covered the Sausage Races at Miller Park. I told my husband I wanted to go. So the inaugural season of Miller Park we came to watch a game. I was amazed at the tailgating. You would think that with the nice weather in Houston tailgating would catch on but it didn't. Anyway, 8 years later my husband and I now live here (for his job). To think, I flew here from Texas just to watch the Sausage Race and now I can go anytime I want!

I'm so old that when I was a youngster, they didn't have baseball. Just kidding.

The first time was an extremely memorable experience. County Stadium, 1985, Ted Higuera on the mound. Molly batting lead-off. I think we were playing the Angels that day, not sure. The Brewers were in the American League. George Bamberger was managing the team for the second time. We sat on the third base side. I recall also going through the fanzone experience. In those days, it was kind of rough. The speed pitch was actually outside the stadium. That was the fanzone experience. I think I was clocked at 55 to 60. Pretty good for someone around ten years old.

All in all, one of the most memorable experiences of my childhood. I will never forget it.

A long, long, time ago in a farmers field far, far away, Rob noticed a change in the wind and became fascinated with the weather. Why you ask? (Pause for you to say "why?") Well, it was at that moment he realized he was downwind of the manure pile on the turkey farm where he grew up! After that he watched the weather very carefully in an effort to save his sense of smell! Okay, that's not entirely true but I did grow up on a turkey farm and I have been fascinated with weather and broadcasting for quite some time. I began my career in radio before making the jump to TV. I worked on Good Morning Toronto. After that, I decided to pursue my dream of living and working in the U.S. and joined Wake Up Rochester in Rochester NY. I spent three years in "Bills Country" before coming to my senses and moving to "Packer-Town!" (GO PACK!) I also spent some time trying to make it big as a comic actor and studied the art of improvisation at Toronto's Second City Theatre with teachers like SCTV's Joe Flaherty! I moved here with my beautiful wife, Tanya, who's the real comedian in the family, my son Noah, who's giving my wife a run for the title of funniest Haswell and my daughter Nyla who is the cutest 2 feet of human being you could ever meet! We're very excited to be living in the great city of Milwaukee and we're looking forward to learning all there is to know about Wisconsin! By the way, where do you buy those cheesehead hats anyway?
