Well, the powers that be are sending me out into the world of real work!

Yes, I'll be getting my hand dirty trying out a few different jobs this May.

I have some great jobs lined up for our newly renamed series "Hey Rob Try My Job!" but I am looking for one or two more.

We've already done:

A Llama Farm
Washing Dirty Hockey Uniforms
Cleaning Up at the Zoo
Cleaning Up and Breeding Beetles
Doing an Oil Change on a Train
Changing the blade on a Zamboni

And a whole bunch more!

We have some great ones lined up for May but we're open to suggestions so if you have a job you think I should try please email me or post a comment here with a way to contact you.

Thanks!

I don't know if you have done this already, but 3 Summers ago I lived and worked on the Denis Sullivan (the tall ship docked at Pier Wisconsin) for 3 months. It is STILL the most messy job I have ever had. (And I have worked on a farm!)The best part was putting a slurry on the masts. You MUST do that!

Find an area poultry farm, big guy. It's lunch time, so I won't go into detail.

My first choice though, was IRS agent.

There's not a filthier, more disgusting job on Earth...

Go to the Milwaukee County Transit System and wash the outside of the dirty city buses and BLEEP and Span the inside and make it smell lemony fresh.

Trust me, I done seen some dirty city buses and some of them get trashed and some of them be dirty on the outside, you almost wish you can just run it through a Scrub-A-Dub Express Wash

Do an oil change after you clean the buses and fill up the a bus with some diesel. That should get you dirty.

Good question. The refrigerator and microwave in our department at UWM needs some cleaning. Seriously, a good example of a dirty job is that of a septic tank technician. You can work with the "Honey Wagon" crew and join them in their endeavors to clean grease tanks at local schools. Or you can be a penguin keeper at a zoo and clean penguin BLEEP. It is believed that the penguin releases about 1/5 of their body mass in waste every day. Or you can be a pig farmer. There is a nice size pig farm in Black Earth, WI (http://csumc.wisc.edu/cmct/danecountytour/blackearth/P
igFarm/mikedanz.htm) It's a lot of fun when they are about to be bred! (NOT).

How about a factory job, machining, forging, etc. Some of those are dirty jobs. You could find a good factory on the south side. Try giving them a call.

Ha ha ! Hey, I don't want to miss this!

May I suggest manure spreader? All you have to do is drive the tractor with the un...honey wagon pulled behind you. Of course, there will probably be wind and it seems that the wind is always blowing from behind right at you....

I'm thinking a pig farm. You could slop the hogs and clean out their pens perhaps where JAGuse mentioned. Oh, I should warn you, pigs are carnivorous so don't dress to tastefully while on the farm. Rubber hip boots and coveralls should do it for you!

I went to their homes once and now I will not visit again and I did tell them and now they don't want me for their friend,(oh well) I also recomend doing hospital laundry or nursing home people,s laundry. Or you could clean up after a surgery. Good luck serching.

loripav, consider yourself lucky that these folks don't want you for a friend. I have a feeling you are much better off without them.

A long, long, time ago in a farmers field far, far away, Rob noticed a change in the wind and became fascinated with the weather. Why you ask? (Pause for you to say "why?") Well, it was at that moment he realized he was downwind of the manure pile on the turkey farm where he grew up! After that he watched the weather very carefully in an effort to save his sense of smell! Okay, that's not entirely true but I did grow up on a turkey farm and I have been fascinated with weather and broadcasting for quite some time. I began my career in radio before making the jump to TV. I worked on Good Morning Toronto. After that, I decided to pursue my dream of living and working in the U.S. and joined Wake Up Rochester in Rochester NY. I spent three years in "Bills Country" before coming to my senses and moving to "Packer-Town!" (GO PACK!) I also spent some time trying to make it big as a comic actor and studied the art of improvisation at Toronto's Second City Theatre with teachers like SCTV's Joe Flaherty! I moved here with my beautiful wife, Tanya, who's the real comedian in the family, my son Noah, who's giving my wife a run for the title of funniest Haswell and my daughter Nyla who is the cutest 2 feet of human being you could ever meet! We're very excited to be living in the great city of Milwaukee and we're looking forward to learning all there is to know about Wisconsin! By the way, where do you buy those cheesehead hats anyway?
