What are you going to do in three weeks?

School starts in three weeks. Does anybody have plans for their first days of peace and quiet? Or plans for the money not being spent on daycare? Possibly cleaning the house?

I don't know if I am excited for it or not. I love not having that "go go" schedule and all the running that goes with it. I also like the weather that comes with summer vacation, and it seems as if once school starts, it all of the sudden changes. I am not a fan of late fall, winter, and early spring.

I plan on settling into my new house, and just getting organized. What is everybody else going to do?

Well first I'm going to give the bus driver a big kiss and then I'm going to make my end of summer pot of chili. I despise summer--never been a fan. I'm so looking forward to fall, cool crisp air, leaves falling and baking.

I dread the whole "back to school" scene. I hate the shopping, the hustle and bustle, the re-registering at the same schools every year and the getting into an early bedtime routine for the kids. I love Summer...it could stay all year long as far as I am concerned. I will be mourning the end of Summer. Farewell my friend. Your life was short-lived.

well now that my half brother is going to 4k, i am going to convince my dad to do some blogging for the first time. that way my dad only has my other little half brother to worry about. he could blog for the first time when he is sleeping and dad could do it on his fridays off from work. i think my dad will enjoy doing that for the first time. i am going to talk him into doing it when my little brother starts school. i will keep you bloggers posted or i amy have my dad suprise all of you with his first blog. GOTTA LOVE IT, EH/ as for me, do some baking and possible posting a mouth watering blog to make you bloggers hungrier than heck. great job on the posting of this blog.

Well Git, I am so with you. Lovin, I love the beginning of fall, but that is it. If we could go from that to late spring, I would be happy. Aaron that would be nice if you could get your dad to blog. I didn't know you had a brother so little.

Well in three weeks I will be getting my children prepare for school. They will be attending a new school and I pray everything works out for them. I'm also trying to get my house in order especially the basement. Everyday is a very special day. We need to cherish each and everyday because life is so short.

Hey Nicole, we are getting our basement done too. But we are doing it all by ourselves so this should be interesting. When the kids go back, that will give me extra time to work.

Hey Tracy

What are you getting done to your basement? I need to have the all the insulation pull from around the basement and some special solution blown into it and reinsulated. Do your husband do that kind of work?

You've already said it (except that this isn't my house, it's my mom's house) but everybody will be gone and I can enjoy my days off from work and don't have to hear no ones mouth.

Otherwise if I'm not on here, I will be gone elsewhere or just be at home enjoying my video games. Peace and Quiet is all I need.

Well my children are set with the school supplies, and for the clothes, we are going shopping the Thursday before Labor Day weekend.
This way when the boys get back from camping, they will be ready for the first day. I'm very glad that school is starting. We need stablity in our home life after the summer time. I realy don't cook in the summer. So we eat when we want and not to much of dinner table time like when school starts. Dinner will be made and we will be sitting at the table together. I am a stay at home mom and I can plan dinners and make it while there in school and do the things that I want to do such as help for the school or PTA. I love fall the best. Pink is my favorite color, but fall is so cool weather and so pretty. Summer is ok when it's not to hot and spring I love a lot too. I love the new fresh start of everything waking up and so pretty. Winter is nice until Janurary. Between Janurary threw April is a slumpy time for me. That is my longest darkest (I hate winter) time.

sweetynicole, we are going to use an epoxy paint for the floor instead of the tile they have there. They put drain tile in and so there is a good part of the basement that is already not tiled, and some of the other tile is coming up from the floods. We figure that the paint will be waterproof, look decent, and the kids can rollerskate on it. My basement is really long and empty. When we moved, we got rid of alot and we doubled the size of our house which means double size basement.

well here is an update for you bloggers---:::: i just e-mailed my dad tonight and now i am pushing to get the ball rolling for him to start blogging for the first time. hopefully he sends me a reply on that e-mail. i did not save the e-mail though but i said in it that with him blogging for the first time should be like a mini vacation for him. i will definitly post his remarks on this post when i get it.

I am married to a great guy and a mom of three. Our kids are spread out in ages so we have one in preschool, one in first grade and one in his first year of middle school. We spend alot of time on soccer fields and in dance studios but I wouldn't trade that in for anything. My favorite day of the week is Sunday because that is family day. I also love Friday nights after the kids go to bed. We love to take long weekends just to get away. Usually we end up at waterparks, but we all love the water so it is great. I love to eat out. Without the kids is best, but we do go out for lunch as a family every Sunday. It is just our thing. I stay at home for the most part and spend my days working in my kids classrooms or just taking care of the every day things. I am here to meet other great people and moms like me.I write about my life because that is what I do. I love to share and while some people are all about politics or news.... My stage of life is all about me and my family. So most of my blogs are going to be just that. This year, we welcomed our very first foreign exchange student into our home. It has been both a challange and a blessing. I am happy to have him and practicing for when my own children get to be that age. I will admit that it is scary having a high school student as a child of mine because of the freedom I need to allow, but I am learning to let go and be watchful but not overbearing on him. This is going to be an interesting year..
