My son’t 1st love letter

Ok, I knew this was going to come sooner or later, but tonight my son came into my room and said he had something he needed to show me. In his hand was a folded up piece of paper that he very slowly gave to me. And this is what it said.

Dear Jake:

I saw you in the hallway today and it was love at first site! I couldn't stop looking at that handsoe soccer sweatshirt in class.Whe should meet sometime! Lets meet at the school store on March 6th at 2:50. Ps. Make sure you wear your soccer Sweater

Love

Secret Lover and there were three hearts around it.

I honestly didn't know what to say and was quite shocked, but it was sooo cute and funny. Now he is complaining because I am blogging about this and he doesn't even know that I put the contents of the letter on here. So let the games begin I guess.

I did ask if he met with her today and he said no he did not because he has to hurry out the door to catch his ride, and he didn't want to go there anyway. I really wish I knew who this girl was. I think I am more anxious to find out than he is. But he still is NOT allowed to date.

Given the recent headlines from our area school systems, I suppose my primary concern would be to make d*mn certain the note didn't come from his gym teacher...

LOL, I am sure by the purple star stickers and hearts drawn all over it came from a girl. I am just in shock though. And he just gives me this folded paper and says "Mom, get this."

But he still isn't allowed to date. He was not even a bit flustered or anything by it. He was just like, "ok, so someone likes me."

He has had girls have crushes on him in the past and one of them older, but he is so oblivious to it that I have to just giggle. He still doesn't get it, so I guess that buys me a little more time.

I have twin boys. One is blond hair and blue eyes and the other has brown hair and blue eyes. Every one tells me that he will be a chick magnet. They are in sixth grade and al ready the girls are writing letters to them. They start young.

I know, and those girls are pretty agressive. Today I asked him if he wanted to meet her. Not that I was going to let him, but I wanted to know. He was like "why" That was a great answer. He is more into his sports and homework. I know he isn't always going to be this levelheaded so I am going to enjoy it while I can.

Wow are you lucky with the home work. My boys think that they can clown around. They are starting to learn now because their Dad said they will not get to go hunting with him if they don't carry better than a C.

We really aren't lucky with that. We have had a change in schools and three years of really super hard work. It used to take him hours at night to do just two or three worksheets. I think that once he saw the benefits of getting good grades, he got that drive. But we are at the semseter slump. Although, he still doesn't see the point in having girlfriends yet. I am betting that in a year, I am not going to be able to post about how good and focused he is, and I will be crying about just the opposite, so I am going to enjoy it now.

I am married to a great guy and a mom of three. Our kids are spread out in ages so we have one in preschool, one in first grade and one in his first year of middle school. We spend alot of time on soccer fields and in dance studios but I wouldn't trade that in for anything. My favorite day of the week is Sunday because that is family day. I also love Friday nights after the kids go to bed. We love to take long weekends just to get away. Usually we end up at waterparks, but we all love the water so it is great. I love to eat out. Without the kids is best, but we do go out for lunch as a family every Sunday. It is just our thing. I stay at home for the most part and spend my days working in my kids classrooms or just taking care of the every day things. I am here to meet other great people and moms like me.I write about my life because that is what I do. I love to share and while some people are all about politics or news.... My stage of life is all about me and my family. So most of my blogs are going to be just that. This year, we welcomed our very first foreign exchange student into our home. It has been both a challange and a blessing. I am happy to have him and practicing for when my own children get to be that age. I will admit that it is scary having a high school student as a child of mine because of the freedom I need to allow, but I am learning to let go and be watchful but not overbearing on him. This is going to be an interesting year..
