Monday:
All lanes of NB I-43 between Plankinton Avenue and Wisconsin Avenue will be closed during the night of Monday, May 21st beginning at 11:59 p.m. The lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.
As part of this closure, the National Avenue entrance ramp to Northbound I-43 will also be closed.
11th Street from Wells Street to Wisconsin Avenue is scheduled to close long-term at 7 a.m. on Monday, May 21st. The closure is expected to last until mid-August. During the closure, construciton crews will be constructing the new 11th Street which will go over the freeway and around Marquette University's Carpenter Tower. Meanwhile, Marquette will be constructing a pedestrain mall in the vacated area of the old 11th Street.
Monday-Wednesday:
4th Street between St. Paul Avenue and Clybourn Street is scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. Monday, May 21st to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 23rd. The closure is needed for girder erection for the new WB I-794 roadway Use 5th Street as an alternate.
Through Thursday:
Construction crews will close the Kilbourn Tunnel entrance ramp to NB I-43 for one week beginning at 6 AM Wednesday May 16th. The ramp will reopen by Thursday, May 24 at 6 a.m. Crews will be finishing retaining wall work. Use the Highland or McKinley Avenue entrance ramps as alternates.
