I suppose I never thought about it this way.

Maybe the lines on parking lots are "suggestions only?"

I'm not the best parker. For that reason, I try to avoid parallell parking and parking next to pillars in garages.

But, c'mon. What's so hard about parking in a normal, outdoor parking lot?

The other day I come out to my car and the person next to me has parked so close--I CAN'T GET IN MY CAR!

I do some pacing, hoping the owner will be right back. No chance.

So, I am forced to crawl into my car from the passenger side.

Picture a giraffe trying to get into a car.

I hate parallel parking. It's just hard to get it right on the first try. I'm with you on this.

I just park normally. When I get to where I need to be, I park right behind a car or in front of a car, not in between cars. The bad thing about parallel parking is that your tires or rims get scuffed up if you hit the curb.

The only easy thing about parallel parking is if you had a motorcycle. There is no reverse, so you have to scoot your feet back with the back and there shouldn't even be no reason that no one can't do that.

If Giraffes were able to drive and get in a car they would need a vehicle with a T-top.

Omg......that's funny. That's happened to me countless times. Can you imagine trying to get to your car one day and having BOTH sides blocked off? lol

Lol Im not that good at parallel parking everytime I try I hit curb so I just don't do. Yesterday I parked super crooked and I didn't know it until I got out but at least I was in between the line I wasn't too close to anyone car. For some reason I never try to park in between to car in a parking lot I will just park farther away if I have to I don't mind walking

I feel like a giraffe. Some of my friends who have two door cars just don't realize that I cant fit in their car and they just insist that I ride along with them and my head be touching the ceiling of the car.

I can parallel park if I am driving a van. My car I can't seem to determin how long the trunk is to the front of the other car. It's funny to hear of this coming from us drivers who passed our road test.

Parking in downtown stalls are the worst. I just hate it when people part so close that if one opens up a door, one either ends up scratching their own car door or their neighbor's door.

Kim~
As wfbdoglover said, it happened to me about 2 years ago as well. I got so ticked off, I ended up writing the driver of the offending car a note saying "Next time please leave me a canopener so that I can get into my car!" People can be SO inconsiderate sometimes. And they HAVE TO KNOW they are too close. I mean, I could only fit a piece of paper between our vehicles. It has happened a couple of times since the note incident, once while I was wearing a dress. Not a pretty sight! Now I carry a camera in my trunk and I take a picture of the parking job and of their license plate and take it to the police department. Warning folks...tickets DO come by mail for such carelessness!!!!!
