Mine started out at 5:50 a.m. Way too earlier!  Somehow that word, "Mommy" is like a cold water splash in the morning. It would wake me if I was sleeping in another hemisphere.

But now he's learned how to say "snuggle me" too.  It melts me everytime.

Mothers, what melts you?

Lately, the only thing my kids say that melts my heart is "Look ma, I paid for it myself!"

Whenever they give me one of those "I love you" hugs for no real reason.
Or, when I hear them say I'm a cool mom to other kids or their friends say I'm a cool mom.
Nothing like being cool when you're 45!

When my first granddaughter was born and started to talk she named me "black gramma" due to the color of my hair. Her other gramma had blond. So Now all 7 of them say "I love you black"....Oh the looks I get at the grocery store when they say "black gramma I want this". It stuck and I don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon. One time in kindergarten I was bringing cupcakes for her b/day and she told the teacher that her black gramma was bringing them. She looked quite confused when I walked in.

Well mine didn't turn out so good. I have an 18 year old doughter who couldn't call me on mother's day to say (hows it going)? And tonight my 11 year old twins went to move in with their father because they say the grass is greener over there. You see my sister whom couldn't do no wrong has come into my life one to many times. This is a plot. I pray that they come back.

Lori - Mine wasnt much better! My 20y.o.daughter - didnt even bother to call either - she was by Sat. for $100 though! My 6yo was crying about not being able to go with her sister "cuz she's way cooler"..........I just felt so bad and spent most of the day in my garden(in the rain)BUT somehow MY MOM called!(she is in England)It may has well have been an angel calling......
