Hello, this is My first Blog, I personally am some what conservative and don't like new made up words like Blog, Bling, ect..However that's not what I am writing about. I and My Wife are Both amateur Radio operators in Walworth County and actively participate in Walworth Co. Ares Weather nets. and any other imaginable emergency including monitoring the ISS Ham Frequencies and the Maritime Mobile nets from time to time. My wife has been Paralyzed Of and on for the better part of five years now. We spend most of our days getting our Children off to school and then going to Therapy to try to get Tammy walking again. We are finally reaching some degree of success. This morning at Seven ' o clock My son changed the channel to Fox six as he knows I am a big fan ot the Fox six Weather team. Every day we hear about Fallen soldiers in Irag and Afghanistan. My question is with war People die, and I don't want to minimize the loss their families feel or the sacrifice they have made, But The first ten miniutes of the 7:00 news cast this morning was all about those killed right here in Milwaukee, Yesterday Cudahy. I lived in Cudahy until I was ten then My parents chose to move away from the city. Know I know why. When you consider the comparison of a Nation at war in a city of over a Million , Why are there More Americans killed in our own Front lawns Just in on City alone? if you added up all the big cities in The U.S. which Milwaukee ranks around 19 or 20 population wise, and that does not count the surrounding Suburbs. When are we going to stop the killing ? Last Fourth of July My family whitnessed a Stabbing in Sheridan Park with Video tape of all the Rescue where I grew up in and we Love Comming to Milwaukee Because there are so many things to do. I have to wonder if My family's saftey is at stake and My kids are now afraid of Fire works Because of the violence. We visit the Domes and Count the Bullet holes in the windows. I used to Fear Chicago, Racine, and Joliet for these reasons but for some reason always felt safe in Milwaukee .Is this because i know my way around or am I just Numb to whats going on there. Can't we all just get along!!?
