I am really surprised that we aren't hearing from more people, upset that Melinda went home on Idol last night. A lot of people are telling me, I'm kind of glad it's her --- or --- it's refreshing to see two people who aren't so perfect moving on to the finals.

That raises a good point. Melinda was flawless. Noone questions her talent. Perhaps people are looking for an Idol who is more real.

But, in the end, I think it came down to age and maturity. My guess is, the audience who votes the most is the younger crowd, excited about beat-boxing and pretty, young girls.

What do you think?

Getting kicked off Idol is probably the best thing for her. She is now in control of her destiny and will not have to depend upon the contract from American Idol to proceed.

She will still have it made in the real world. I'm glad she's gone and now I think for sure Jordin is going to win!!!

Like I said in Brad's blog, I am not surprised at all. I had Jordin picked from the beginning. She is fresh, young, has the music talent, and I can see her as an IDOL where as Melinda yes, she can sing, and yes she was always perfect, but it shows that perfection doesn't get you the prize. Melinda will make it in the world without the IDOL tagged to her name.

You see me talking on television about health topics. It is my worktime passion, driven by the many rewards from viewers who call or write to share their challenges or a thank you for information that might have improved the quality of their life. When I'm not working, I'm hanging with my family, gardening, or having fun with friends. I can honestly say, Milwaukee is my home and I love it here! I'm going on twenty years in the same city and at the same television station. That's a lifetime in the television business! I like all sorts of music. I'm hooked on the show "Damages" and I think I'm addicted to the computer game Spider Solitare. I've been known to say, 'Just one more game and I'll turn off the computer! I just know I can beat my last score!'
