I'll make this post short and simple. If Favre wants to come back, BY ALL MEANS BRING HIM BACK!!!!! The decision isn't exactly rocket science. Rodgers right now is probably a very good quarterback. The team can progress deep into the playoffs with Rodgers at the helm. However, he has never proven to be durable for any length of time. If he plays 75% of his snaps, based on his past record, that would probably be an accomplishment. The question mark is, who will play the other 25%? Flynn and Boehm might have potential. However, both are rookies. If they see any substantial playing time, both will stink. And they will stink quite badly.
Favre, however, is a proven commodity. We know what he can do. If this is truly Rodger's team, then let him compete with Favre for the starting spot. If Rodgers beats out Favre fairly, then he should start. Favre should be his backup. What's the harm with a little healthy competition? Any thoughts...

Hello, I am a adjunct professor at the University Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I am working to receive my Ph.D. in the Department of Political Science and am presently working on my dissertation focusing on elite rhetoric and public opinion formation. In what little spare time I have, I like to write lyrics (gospel/inspirational), exercise, play piano, guitar, and violin and study foreign languages. I enjoy blogging, travelling (have been to Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Taiwan, and South Korea) and consider myself a "news junkie."
