Synopsis by FOX 6 meteorologist Rob Haswell

A cold front moving at a relatively quick rate will drop across WI today and cut into our area this afternoon and evening. Ahead of the front we'll see a warm, moist and unstable airmass. That means we have all the necessary ingredients for scattered showers and thunderstorms some of the storms may become strong and possibly severe. Large hail and damaging winds are the main hazards.

Behind the front, high pressure takes over from a long stretch. Thursday will be cool and dry but we'll slowly warm into the weekend.
