From FOX 6 Chief Meteorologist Vince Condella
After a cloudy and rainy Sunday morning, dry air is now beginning to stream into our area as low clouds will begin to clear this evening. Nice sinking motion in the atmosphere behind the departing low-pressure center. High pressure building in for Monday with weak pressure gradient. So expect typical lake-breeze to set up and keep things a little cooler lakeside for Monday, although wind speed should remain under 5 miles per hour.
We are in-between systems for Tuesday, but still far enough from the moisture of the approaching low-pressure. So a dry Tuesday as our surface winds turn to the southeast. Once again this means cooling near the lake, but very nice inland as temperatures reach into the 70s west of Highway 45.
GFS numerical prediction model seems to be out to lunch with overblown weather system for Tuesday night and Wednesday, with NAM looking more realistic and conforming with our exclusive RPM model (SkyVision Plus). So I will introduce a chance for showers and thunderstorms after midnight on Tuesday, then continue shower chances for Wednesday. Question is about timing and how quickly will the cold front push precipitation out of here Wednesday afternoon. For now I will broad brush Wednesday for simply scattered showers, but if the system moves quick enough we could have a dry Wednesday afternoon.
