Immigration is a big issue these days, especially with the 2008 political candidates. What do I think should be done about immigration? I think there needs to be a very high fence covering the ENTIRE US-Mexico border. One where people cannot climb over it, dig under it, or in any other way get through. What I don't understand is why Mexicans even cross the border illegally. The process to become a legal American citizen is easy! You fill out some paperwork at the immigration office, pay a small fee, take a test, and if you pass, then you're a legal US citizen. And the questions on the test are easy. I made this question up, but something like it is probably on the test.

What happened on September 11, 2001?
A) President George Bush was assassinated
B) Two hijacked places destroyed the two towers of the World Trade Center
C) We declared war
D) Nothing significant

So you see, it's simple to become a US citizen. I don't understand why people come here illegally, if they can easily become legal citizens.
