Why do people post wrong info

In the past few weeks I have been watching people post "facts". Yet even the most basic research shows these "facts" to be false or incomplete. Either the poster is lying or posting the first thing that comes into their head without even bothering to check. I do not know which one is worse.  I have a question. Do these posters really think doing this makes them look good? What really happens is that their posts are found out to be lies and/or the wrong info and they look to be foolish. No one will believe anything they post because if this happened once it taints anything else they write.

It's a sickness, a mental illness. Some people, no matter how hard you try to show them reality cannot accept the TRUTH. I believe somewhere in their sick little head that they actually believe that if they believe in it enough then it becomes true!

(Kinda like if you keep repeating the same lie over and over again it will soon be percieved as the TRUTH.)

But as in the above statement that only works with the WEAK MINDED. (kinda like JEDI powers huh?)

I have been told that I am very opinionated. Not necessarily true but I am not afraid to speak my mind. I am very much anti "sheeple" and believe that people need to think and question why. I do not believe in blind faith or blindly following anything without question (including but not limited to religion and politics).
